It's fucking amazing. I haven't made it for anyone who hasn't immediately sworn off all other mac and cheese after trying it. It can be made even better by sprinkling bacon bits into each layer. Experiment with other cheeses too if you want.

It sounds like alot of work but honestly, the work part is really quick. By the time the macaroni is boiled, all the cheese is grated and everything else is prepped. 5min to assemble then it's just into the oven and waiting.

Latest update. Family is all ok, nephew was able to get back to the home and found part of the roof was ripped off, lost a fence row from a tree that fell in the back yard. Will need to do some floor repairs as well. All of which are repairable. Certainly hope any tundra brothers and sisters who live in Ida’s path are safe as well. Thanks for your thoughts!

My grandkids will eat it too. But my wife won't make it. She makes a recipe that she got from her grandmother. Pasta, Some kind of tomato sauce and shredded cheese. Plus some herbs. Bake it, add shredded cheese on top and bake it some more. I think it needs salt and pepper. She doesn't. I add the salt and pepper when it's served.

What kind of rough? Like "Work sucked, got served papers, my dog was run over" rough, or more like "she's way freakier than I thought" rough?

It's actually pretty subtle. But as long as you don't put tomatoes on grilled cheese, whatever you do with your pasta is good with me.

Haha I wish it was the last one!
Work was rough, understaffed; had a elevator machine room go offline on Friday because the stupid mini split took a shit(why have a direct expansion unit in a building with chilled water?)
So this morning it was easily 120 degrees in a two story shaft/room, trying to cool it down with portable AC units, which we had to go get more because one took a shit, then find out all 7 outlets on the roof are one circuit, that’s why the breaker is tripping! Haha and all we got was; why is it so hot in here? Where did you buy these, well that’s expensive. And that was just the first call of the morning that lasted until 1pm, thanks for listening Dr. Laura!

Haha thank you, I have no idea where it’s from and it’s super distracting I know! The “counter” top isn’t any better, it’s this old gross like light peach speckled something or other, it’s actually a “washboard” counter that all pitches towards the full on salmon inset porcelain sink. I think it might be original(50s) but I really love the solid wood cabinets and doors! The drawers definitely need some wax on the wood slides!
