I wanted to give @bmf4069 the advantage and say it was a single-action Sig, but it wasn't.

Life is tough down in here Texas, every second counts.
That SA pull is quite a bit shorter than the DA pull..

I had a weird day. We ran to our preferred Costco and everything was going well. I was in the middle of the store, perusing the holiday shit and I started smelling freshly baked cookies. I told my wife and daughter that we needed to find the cookie sample person ASAP, while the damn things were still hot and before some dude with his five kids showed up and swiped them all...

So the only samples I could find were chicken things. I said "to the bakery!" and marched that way. Unfortunately it was a dead end also. :annoyed:

The smell seemed to be moving away from the bakery and towards the front of the store. Like some kind of chunky Pied Piper, I was led to a bakery chick rolling a big bakery rack full of freshly baked cookies. She started yelling "Freshly baked cookies at the food court!" I followed behind and paid my $2.86 for a damn freshly baked cookie.

I can see her weaving to the back of the kitchen with the rack of new cookies and the little food court fuck calls my number and tries to hand me a cookie. I said "No, I'm sorry. I want one of the fresh ones."

He gets all irritated and says "These have only been sitting here for 5 minutes." I stood my ground. He got mad and put the cookie back and yelled for them to send a fresh tray of cookies through their oven (apparently they are twice baked).

So I'm waiting and his partner gets ready to fill my ticket. The guy gets all salty and says "He doesn't want one of THOSE."

About 5 minutes later, they lay out the new cookies. I was watching closely where they put them so they didn't try to pass off one of the old ones as a fresh one.

5 minutes after that, the fucker looks at me as says "You didn't get your cookie yet?!" and I said "Does it look like it?" He hands me one of the fresh ones, I say "Thank you" and he just scowls. I wanted to say "If I was the worst part of your day so far, you're doing pretty good." But he scooted away.

I found my wife and daughter over by the optical area and told them I got food shamed but I got my fresh cookie. :) The Optical people started laughing and said "The fresh ones are the best."

So we decided to go to HEB to get some BBQ for dinner. I got a chopped brisket sandwich. There was a big piece of skin and I thought it was weird if it was brisket skin because of the texture. I pulled it out of the sandwich and got down to business. About 1/2 through a found a 1/2 inch long, 1/4 inch thick bone splinter. I've learned a long time ago to chew softly when eating any kind of chopped meat product so I didn't hurt my teeth on the meat spear. I put it on a napkin and brought it up to the order takers and they were super apologetic.

I went back to my table and started working on the rest of the sandwich. When I had about three bites left, I found some kind of knuckle/joint weird thing. I finished my sandwich and brought that up to the order taker. He said "What the hell?!" and apologized again and offered to give me another sandwich. I declined and said "I'd be upset if I found that in my banana pudding..." and went back to the table.

About 3 minutes later he shows up with an extra banana pudding. Apparently the shithead that chopped the brisket for my sandwich had been cutting ribs before that and didn't clean the board afterwards. The order taker said he was being "corrected" as he was speaking to me...

    Anyways, weird damn day.

I'm known for having the "Signess" (sickness) - quite a few in my safe. But the only hammer-fired SA is my P938. Having spent quite a bit of time dialing in the DA/SA's, I don't think I'd be comfortable having any of mine sitting around cocked if there was a live round in the chamber - that SA pull is pretty short and light.

Yeah, I'm really surprised I ate it but I was still feeling bad about being food shamed at Costco.

If we eat at this location again I definitely won't be getting anything chopped.

'Tis the season. Bought some new shit to try.

    IMG_6078.jpg

Not pictured are the "Merry Berry Twizzlers." They sucked.

The Roasted Peanut M&M's have a pretty intense artificial roasted taste to them. Seem like it would have been easier to actually roast the damn things, but whatever.

Also forgot to post a pic of the Peanut Butter and Jelly M&M's. They are okay - I think if they were able to figure out a way to put more Jelly in there it would have been home run.

The Reese's Sugar Cookie Big Cups are a solid "Meh." I don't think it really does much but add some texture. I mean sugar cookies aren't the most flavorful cookies out there. Now a frosted sugar cookie...:drool::drool:

The Hershey Kisses Cherry Cordials were a little weird at first because you're expecting there to be a cherry because the damn things taste just like a Cherry Cordial. Love these things and I hope they keep them year around. Although I'm on a temporary sugar binge so that may kinda suck.

I'm a huge fan of Little Debbie Christmas Cakes but I stopped eating them years back because I'll eat them all in one sitting.

So then I caught wind of this:

    IMG_6081.jpg

Ryse and Ghost are pretty spot on with their flavors and Ryse definitely didn't mess this up. I'm so happy I bought two tubs - this stuff almost tastes better than the original cakes. Not too sweet - perfect with 8 oz of skim milk... :woot:

Saw some Hersheys bells in the store today and grabbed a couple of bags. That was my daughter and my favorite at the holiday. They have been AWOL for the last few years. I’m guessing because I was the only person buying them.
Have to say after a few years off I’m not impressed. I’ll be giving them to her to see if she still likes them.
