It's weird how that works... We did Napa/Sonoma in 2017, which was just after the major fires they had that they couldn't get contained. Some wineries were absolutely wiped off the map, while one next door or across the street were untouched... almost an eerie feeling, which I'm sure wasn't helped by the somber state most folks in the area were in.

@TaquitoBandito Those Salted Caramel Nuggets are insane... :yay:

Tried a few last night, and now I see why they get special packaging!!!

Tonight will be an 'appropriately sized' glass of Midleton Very Rare paired w/Salted Caramel Beaver Nuggets.

PS>>> I've been really savoring this bottle and enjoying it on special occassions, and the discovery of Salted Caramel Beaver Nuggets is certainly worthy of being consumed alongside this fine Irish Beverage

PPS>>> Thank you 2023 Secret Santa. I'll have maaaaybe 2 more 'special occassions' left from this great gift

This is why, for all that Florida has going for it, I'll stick to the west. The only natural disaster that is a major thread up hear is one that will have global consequences, so location doesn't matter much. I don't think I'd do well living in hurricane territory. Scary stuff and so much loss for so many communities.

Porter, TX is just far enough from Houston.
But Texas beaches can't hold a candle to Florida beaches.
Still a hurricane risk to be honest...

    @texasrho83 lives in Conroe.

Right? Watching and waiting. Just relocated some family and did some medical today. Tomorrow is storm prep.... We will see what the track is then and make our decision at that point. We have options both directions, so.... we will see.

I love the West. I miss the West. Momma said it perfectly, "The West is the best."

That said, I will take Florida. F Earthquakes, forest fires, snow, and taxes. But I will be out there again soon lol.

As a Floridian who moved home after 12 years in Texas... Yup.... And I do not miss the Naders.... Houston is terrible. They drink Fort Worths water runoff. I miss it out there at times, but I prefer Florida.

LOL, it is a classic. He has some funny videos, but I love that one.

Lived in FL for a bit whilst in the Navy. Can't say I liked it but that was in the 90s. Houston ain't much better. Rude drivers, crap traffic, crime, etc. I do what I can to never drive south of the Woodlands, but then again, I don't even like to go into the Woodlands.

When's the last time you were up this way?

Oh, I don't mean THAT West. I mean ID, UT, MT, and WY. The only thing of the 4 you said that applies there with great regularity is the snow. Sometimes forest fires, but there are areas it's not.

It is Super White, so the color boost is already recognized. Just need to either black out or body color the bumpers, and then body the grille surround for more hp. If only there were more mods and projects to do!

Morning everyone. 1st time out for archery in forever. The shoulder surgery forced my hand, now have the medical clearance to use a crossbow. Hunting right by my late buddies stand, but the tree doesn’t look like it’s going to hold much longer

I loath the woodlands.... lol.. I moved home in 2019 but I go back roughly every year. I will be taking a little time off for this kid to develop before we go trotting back around the country again. I may be out that way for work soon, but that is TBD. The two states have a lot more in common than people want to acknowledge...

Funny story, those are my favorites of the West as well. I actually like the East part of OR as well in that list. I do my best to tell everyone how terrible ID is so they dont go there and ruin my nostalgia. Man I miss it there. Hoping next year to get some more time in Montana, but we will see what happens with the little one. I hear they redirect some plans and finances.

Need a report Andy. Did you see anything? I live vicariously through you. After 30 years hunting on the same private property and I was told in the spring that family comes first. I’m not family but very close friend so I’m out. Didn’t even bother to buy my tags this year.

Nothing today, lots of swirling wind, and temps in the 60s. First time MA has opened the season this early. The anti hunters are sick of the deer eating their shrubs

Also shitty schedule, don’t get in until 8:30-9, out by 2 for the kids
