My ‘17 doesn’t have any engine mods and will pass most anything except a gas pump. Such as life with a V-8 hauler. My F150 with that damn 5.4 Triflin was worse.

 

I will say after having a 2024 Gen 3 Platinum loaner for a week while my tower cam oil leak was being fixed, it did give me an appreciation for the Gen 3.
But not a $70K appreciation...

It only sealed the deal that my 2014 could very well be the last vehicle (at least pickup) I ever own being that I'm 62 years old..

I like nice things but $70k for a truck is outta touch. I could buy a whole house in Alabama for that. I'm good with my truck for another decade or two. Unless they stop making parts for it.

 

Hey guys... been mia for a bit. Life has been super busy with zero complaints!

We scoped out some springs in our area and found a couple camp sites for future plans. We booked a site for our wedding (long story) but I am cancelling it due to reasons.... The truck is dope, I cant wait for my package to arrive from south Florida.... Starlink is down, fiber is up... buying a zero turn tomorrow... Baby is doing great.... It is amazing how good things can be when you stop fighting to make things work.

Jack and Jill went up the hill to buy a 3rd gen tundra.
Jack fell down and broke his crown, then the tundra ran him over.
Jill sold the house to pay the bills and kept the dealer happy.
But after all is said and done, it’s really pretty crappy.

 

Life ain't always perfect, that's what makes the good times good. On another note, it looks like you're getting almost $1K off whatever it is you're buying in the second picture, that doesn't suck!

Sorry to say this, but I have been completely unaware that this was a problem. Years ago, I discovered that “ignore” button and use it immediately when someone starts saying nasty or offensive stuff. Usually those people either settle down, get banned or just leave the forum, within a few months. Sometimes I “un-ignore” when I see they’ve gotten civilized.
Maybe I’m just obtuse, but don’t see why this is an issue.

In all seriousness, I’m not sure what pattern of behavior you saw from me, but I’m not a 3rd gen hater by any shot. I troll all that need it, across all gens. I think my last couple of interactions in 3rd gen land were in response to people actively shitting on the 3rd gen. I plan on picking up a new Seqouia for the wife at some point, trading in the British shitbox that was supposed to be in the punchline of my joke to Digitalwiz, but you locked the thread before I could cook

The worst part about this whole thing was having to talk to my family during breaks from rides instead of doom scrolling the forum.
