So I wake up this morning and see I'm suspended from Twitter/X again.
I guess who ever reported me doesn't understand sarcasm.
So it is in 'read only' mode.

I'm only on Twitter/X for news and to follow mostly the comedians I like.
It's a nice way to pass the time when I'm on the bowl in the mornings.
For instance, before I went to bed I saw the town of Valley View, 80 miles north of here, was devastated by a tornado.

I sent them a message about my suspension saying there are members literally posting death threats and bodily harm against others but they suspended me for a joke.
I told them they have people who scan posts just looking to be offended so they can report them.
Also mentioned after hearing all of Elon's rants about free speech, they seem to be doing a great job of censoring mine for a silly joke.

So whatever, it's not the first time.
Then I'm scrolling down a few posts and get to the bottom of my feed.
The bottom? There is no bottom of the feed.
A popup comes on reading 'I've reached the end of my daily feed and I must get a subscription to see more'.
And this is on a day they suspend me and limit my comments on the rare occasion I comment on something.
The minimum sub is $11 a month and that doesn't even include a blue check mark, not that I give a fuck about the check mark.
I'm not paying Elon $132 a year to read mindless BS posts and watch videos of ***** people beating the shit out of each other.

So I deactivated my account, I waste too much time on it anyway.
I'd bet my quality of life improves...

I've noticed the same on IG where people get reported for nudity (girl in a bikini posing by a truck), but another post from larger (and sometimes smaller) followings has a girl where you can see everything through see through mesh clothing isn't blocked or anything. Seems to be manipulation everywhere

 

There is flat-out porn on Twitter.
Fine with me but a little hypocritical to censor others for a sarcastic joke while you've got videos of boinking available to minors on your platform.

I never got Instagram, my adult kids do it..
My wife has never had any social media accounts, except next door, and she seems to be OK.
I honestly probably spend too much time on Twitter/X so this is actually a blessing.

After 4 weeks of my wife telling me not to do anything because of my appendectomy, she has a few things for me to do today.
Even though I have 2 more weeks off work because of my 6 weeks 15# lifting limit, it's time to get some stuff done around here..
I'm tired of sitting around anyway..

My buddy in high school collected them. A girl he dated told him each tab was good for a free phuk as long as the tab ring was still attached and unbroken. He tied old shoe laces together to hold the tabs. Had probably 15’ of tabs at one point.

From the sounds of it, she honored the deal but never collected the tabs

Same. My mother in law told everyone to collect them because she gave them to Ronald McDonald charities. She moved to Naples two years ago. They're in the hallway closet.

The same story was told to us but they never went anywhere. It finally paid off this year for my kid at school, they won the ice cream party, but I feel like he deserved more than just one ice cream

The dog is pretty sick and has to take a ton of pills. My wife ordered some pill pockets when she got up early yesterday and they were delivered by some lady in a Rav4 two hours later. No Amazon truck - just some lady with her son driving.

 

We are camping in our trailer on the WA coast. A part broke so I hit up Amazon. Four-hour delivery to my home but one week for it to arrive at an Amazon locker 20 miles away. If I needed the part immediately I’d have delivered it to the house and drive home to get it.

 

We get a lot of those form Amazon.
UPS calls them PVDs, Personal Vehicle Drivers..

Not sure what kind of puppy pills you need, I'd guess not prescription.
Maverick takes prescription Apoquel for allergies and it's cheaper at the Walmart pharmacy than from the vet..

He's nine and got kennel cough eight weeks ago. Developed into pneumonia this weekend, but he's doing fine. Thanks for asking.

 

I guess it's a SUV with more horsepower, torque and payload than your truck so there's that.

 

I can attest that having no social
media has been a blessing in my life. The only social media I ever had was Facebook and I quit that in 2009 or so. I missed it at first but overall it has been nice.
