    I've sat here long enough.
I need to replace an LED turn signal/DRL in my 2014.
The driver's side is just flickering.
One disadvantage of LED turn signals and an inline resistor, is not having the hyper flash when a bulb is going out.
Of course, I'll go ahead and change them both.

    I have 2 options:
    1. remove the grille like I did to replace headlight bulbs before the OEM LED headlight swap.
It only takes 10 minutes I've done it so many times.

    2. Loosen the battery clamp and move the battery back on the driver's side.
Remove the 3 bolts on the wiper wash reservoir and move it back to do the driver's side.

Whoever wrote in the manual to go thru the wheel well was an idiot.

I wish the damn thing would have petered out 2 weeks ago when I applied CERAKOTE the front bumper valence.
@ToyoMafia I'll post some pics after I do the rear bumper this week.
    It worked out great..

    Let's see;
    A $20 for set of 7440NA LED bulbs, or a $61K vehicle loan with a payment of $1300 for 4 years?
    I'll keep my 2014....
Besides I would not take less than $25 for my trade-in, I'd probably have to sell privately with all the mods on it.

Well, you wouldn't have a $61K vehicle loan, since you'd put down what you got on trade or sale for your current truck. So let's say after fees etc you have a $40K loan. 6.25% sales tax, 5.95% interest, stretch that loan out to 96 months and you're looking at a paltry $550 per month.

That's called smart finances. Ask @LarryDangerfield , our resident finance guru. He'll confirm.

I wouldn't buy one unless it's a Platinum and I forgot to figure in the ext warranty.
No fucking way I would buy a Gen 3 without a minimum 100K mile/10-year Platinum warranty.

As well I plan to retire in a minimum of 5 years.
    I don't need a vehicle payment when I retire.

My 2014 could very well be the last vehicle I ever own and I'm fine with that.
If by chance it was totaled, I'd be buying a low mileage 2019 to 2021 Tundra..:eek2::cool::thumbsup:

Similar thought process here; I bought my 2015 two years before I retired so that the insurance and registration would drop off. It has currently, less than 30k miles and is paid off and stays mostly garaged. Plan is to have it be the last truck I own. The Tacoma we have is a 2005 2wd 4cyl. It was part of a severance package from a former employer. It’s got over 260k and going strong. Didn’t expect it to last so long!

Not that we don't appreciate it, but most of us grabbed a couple when they went up... worst case scenario, keep that mindset, hang on to it and in a few months you'll see someone asking for one or wanting to trade, etc. and then you'll be able to jump in

Or, better yet.... when Secret Santa 2024 rolls around, you'll have extras to throw into your gift boxes :santa2:

I have 6 gallon freezer bags full of beer and soda bottle caps.
Why? I keep thinking one day me or one of the kids will use them for something.
I got tired of the wife asking why I was keeping them, so I took them out of the garage and put them in the attic..
    I don't save them anymore, but I did for a whlie..
