    I went off site with an instrument and a young engineer to check vertical accuracy on a high rise. We were around the 10th floor. He wanted to set up right outside the gate. I had to explain that the less arc the transit travels the less deviation is available, and we should go down the block a bit, lol.

    Don’t use that cheesy mason line. Get a good braided line, it’s not as susceptible to twisted assholes and knots.

    Actually, I am really quite glad that you take care of your stuff. I know not everyone does and I figured out you might just be more than a common welder.
    Do welders use plumb bobs?

    Treat your tools right, and they'll treat you right.

    We use plumb bobs. We would use them for aligning vessles on skids, setting nozzles etc. I use it at home to when doing some projects, last time was when building my deck.

    The plumb bob would make an excellent weapon too though...
