Burial for dad today at the Veterans cemetery. Nothing hits you in the feels like a 21 gun salute, taps, and all the old timers that worked with him saluting the casket as they departed.

I’ll be drinking my feelings the rest of the evening, disregard any obnoxious posts.

 

May your pops rest in peace man. I bet that was great seeing/hearing that. I know the dust is bothering my eyes every time I see and hear that for any vet

 

That’s the truth. That 21 gun salute and the passing of the flag to my mom hit me hard. Post away we don’t mind.

Yeah. Taps at Dad's funeral did something to me, too. Every time I hear it outside of a cheesy movie it instantly takes me back and I get misty eyed. I hope you can find peace that your Dad is much happier now and you'll see him again someday.

After a hectic two weeks, finally a day where everyone is back to school/work, no family commitments, and a day for myself. Taking things at my own pace, and re-centering myself. Much needed

 

Watching multiple Chevy drivers not know how traffic works and that you have to stop at red lights
Well, 1 drove all the way in to the intersection (they arrived when light was red) and then sat there even after they got a green then 2 cars back in the turn only line was another Chevy that just went straight even though there is multiple signs stating that is turn only.

Just made me chuckle today

Honestly I think the 2nd guy was lost and trying to find the street he needed to turn down. But since he was the 2nd Chevy at the same intersection to struggle with driving, I had to poke some fun

Yes - hopefully ‘23 is just trying to purge the last of the ‘22 BS out like a bad night of drinking, and things will get better after it has a chance to pass out in bed and sleep off the hangover.
