Texas is fairly lenient about back yard fire pits unless there are county burn bans due to drought - - but there are often HOA rules (have I mentioned recently how I abhor an HOA?). The friend I was visiting last night can do what he likes when he wants, but my HOA says there's supposed to be a cover over the fire pit. Whatever.

 

That is exactly what I will be asking about..

My "Current " set-up is a pair of old Ford tractor wheels that escaped the scrap pile....sanded/primed & then painted with black engine paint.... these dam things have survived two hurricanes and are coming with

Just find a place without an HOA. They literally suck. I live in an area with no HOA and I will never live in one again.

Bad enough you can have your property taken from you for not paying property taxes...let alone allowing an HOA to have that power.

We moved to a non-HOA area in May. It’s been awesome. Really hard to do in the Phoenix area, though.
