Tin city is closed still. Naples is coming back online fast. It helps that the 34102 zip code is one of the richest in the country

I’ll agree with you, everyone was an asshole today!

Between the World Series lose, the time change, kids being off two days this week (Election Day/Veterans Day) and simply Monday blues..

Today was a challenging day on the front of being nice to others.

Sucks for "TinCity" and the waterfront BUT as you said, $$$$$ does get things moving quicker..

Our HOA is having an "info" meeting for us Saturday afternoon BUT Lee County has already buckled down on what can & can not happen....

Sadly I think our 'Lil Co-op is circling the drain... out of the 40 lots, 20 or so may just walk away :(:(

My idea of just keeping my empty lot may have to be done through the "system":ballchain: with a lawyer o_O

I’ve been in some of the restaurants that had 6ft of water in them. They are rebuilt and back open after 4 weeks. Lots of available shortcuts when u have the right connections

Downtown Fort Myers surprised me ..

We even met friends at Fords in Estero Saturday because I didn't even think to ask if 1st street location was open :eek2:

They are trying and that is what counts... The Boat House out on 31 near us is open full swing o_O

I will get us settled into Haines City and await what happens to my 'lil piece of paradise....

Right? Why move? FEMA will cover your bills while insurance builds you a new house every other year.

A bunch of co-workers have F-150's....prob about 60% of my office!
It seems like a regular thing that they are comparing the notes of problems they have. One of them is my friend/neighbor. he pulled up his Ford app and showed me all the recalls he's had done and/or needs to do. Now he has a weird thing with his cam shaft sensors or something dealing with his cam shaft. Makes his vehicle crank and run terribly after start up. Dealer is used to it and ordered the replacements in bulk. He has about 40k miles and she said thats pretty good...most people get that problem closer to 20k. They laugh at me with my 15 +/- mpg, but i scoff at their constant issues. I've had 2 tundras that were traded in at 75k miles or more and never had almost any of the problems they've had. Hell, I even had a simple 2006 Ram that I put 60k miles on that never had a problem.
It just reiterated why I pay a lil more for fuel, but don't have the problems they do.

You pay one way or the other. Just gotta decide, do you wanna pay for shop time or drive time. Somebody crunched the numbers on the 5.7 Tundras vs competition and statistically, you can throw a $100 out the window every month and still come out ahead of the cost to own on others. That accounted for fuel, depreciation, and repairs. Lurking and reading on this forum and then doing a ton of research pretty well converted me to a Toyota guy.

I've done numbers quick on it and pretty much figured the same.
Biggest factor was the inconvenience of dropping my vehicle off at a dealer constantly. Now add all the kiddos I drive around daily...I(we) can't afford to have just one of us carrying the whole load of carrying kids around

With you living down south, if you win the lotto and getting a bus, how much time would you have to turn it into this before you were disowned and run out of the area?

I just grump about what my tax dollars are used for. I know a guy that did FEMA work for a bit, and there is so much waste. The only reason I didn't get mad at him about it is because he's a veteran and I don't mind my tax dollars spoiling him a bit.

    Thank you, Sir!

As to @1794TX 's light bar question; no, it's not. That lightbar is there to light up the glitter covered strippers that are hanging out of the multiple sunroofs that this thing surely has.
