Conversation last night with some buddies. Started off with a joke:

A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their small children.
"You all have obsessions," he observed.

To the first mother, Mary, he said, "You are obsessed with eating. You've even named your daughter Candy."

He turned to the second Mom, Ann: "Your obsession is with money. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny."
    ...
He turned to the third Mom, Joyce: "Your obsession is alcohol. This too shows itself in your child's name, Brandy."

At this point, the fourth mother, Kathy, quietly got up, took her little boy by the hand, and whispered, "Come on, Dick, this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Let's pick up Peter and Willy from school and go get lunch."

Me: Glad my wife didn't name most of the kids then. Geez that woman is obsessed with sex!

    Friend: Lucky you

Me: Why? I never said she was obsessed with sex with me.

One time in Vegas, my buddy and I had been drinking for a day or so and sat down at the war table in the Paris. This hot Eastern European was the dealer and her name tag said "Analy"

My buddy says - "so.... how do you pronounce that?"
    Euro chick - "Ana lee"
    My buddy - "I don't think so"

Then this kid who looks like he is 12 sits down next to us. I'm drinking a non-stop flow of Jack Daniels and Coke and my shit-faced friend has moved onto strawberry daiquiris to hopefully keep him alive a few more hours. Said 12 year old proceeds to tell the cocktail waitress he wants a rum and coke. My buddy with a full daiquiri looks over at him and says "that's kind of a pussy drink, don't ya think?" Instead of seeing the irony and humor of the situation, 12 year old bitches to Analy that we are being dicks and leaves.

    Man I miss Vegas.

I finally figured out what the sticky shit all over the vehicles and ground is. Apparently the extended drought and then a bunch of rain created new growth on all of the trees. There was also an explosion in Aphids which eat the leaves and then poop and pee honey dew all over the damn place. The other morning they must have timed it out so all the Aphids would go to the bathroom at once, the trees looked like the were dropping rain.

I thought maybe @Fotnot had come into town (o_O) without announcing it... but, alas, it's Aphids.

I guess we'll know for sure in about 9 months.

Don't you just love it when you get into an elevator and as it starts down you hear and feel a large clunck.

Thing is that they just finished a multiple month long rebuild of all the elevators in the building.
My first thought was, fuckers forgot a bolt.

Nah, I just threw that in the picture for scale. These are big ‘maters!

Ok, so I've noticed this with a couple of you "to scale" references.... You're using items that do not have a constant to the rest of us, so we have no idea what the actual size is. If that's a 6" folder those 'maters are huuuuuuge; if on the other hand that's a 1" folder, well not so much. :boink:

Pretty maters. Is it normal to finally get tomatoes in September? Ours start around July 4.
