and it's delicious.

Coca Cola, Fresca, Dr. Pepper, Schwepp's Ginger Ale. That order. I rarely drink soda though.

 

At a wedding I do ginger ale in my rye or sprite in my spiced rum if they don't have good beer or sipping whisky. Other than that, no pop for me.

 

All the bars I worked at in Northern Michigan had Squirt so I'd usually drink that while I was working - except for when I was bartending at a party bar, then it was shots every 30 minutes or less.

I don't drink soda at all any more but I'll have to try a Fresca someday.

 

I've never heard of Squirt. It sounds....erotic.

 

Fresca makes 7up, Squirt, Bubble Up and Sprite seem flat. It pretty good.

 

I know, ever since I got to know @Fotnot , I feel dirty, get a little big scared and duck when I say it.

Here in the States, all of those are called soda. Or ‘pop’, depending on the region where you live.
I haven’t had any of em for over 20 years. If it’s a drink in a can, with a pop top, it’s been beer or on rare occasion, Arizona Ice Tea.

OK - since this "pop" discussion came up I have a question.
My wife and her family like to create strange words for normal things and then act as if that's what everyone calls them - sometimes intentional, other times...well, who knows.

Has anyone ever referred to a 2-liter of pop/soda as a "boss"? I told my father-in-law he was full of sh!t but again, you never know with this family.

Yeah, they're called pop mostly here but some people do call them soda. I worked with one guy from the southern US though who called everything Coke. A ginger ale was coke. Sprite was coke. Coca Cola and Pepsi were cola though.

Best universal mixer there is. With Sailor Jerry is one of my favorites but they probably don’t have that in Canada either.

 

We have Sailor Jerry. Been awhile since I've had it though.

 

Oh yeah, and Canada Dry is way better than Schwepp's.

 

Captain Morgan's for me on the rare occasion I'm having spiced rum.

 

Disagree. Canada Dry tastes watered down. Schwepp's has a fuller flavor.

I figured - just needed some backup. Also - guilty on the coke definition. It's coke, sprite or tea for the most part here. And tea means sweet tea - otherwise gtfo

 

+1 Canada Dry is a much better mixer imo also.
