I don't think my bosses realized how much I worked out of my job specs....they are already finding out as I've turned in all my OR shifts for the summer and told them to find someone else. There is no mandatory OT in our agency.

My parents emigrated to the US from italy in the late 50s. My father was sworn in as as a US citizen on flag day. The judge asked everyone if they knew what day it was and my dad said flag day. He would tell me the story every flag day.

 

Not trying to get personal, but did your mom ever get her citizenship? I know people that do go thru the process are super proud of themselves; as well they should be, and I bet that’s why your dad was so excited to tell that story every year.

Back to seriousness, it was hot as hell at 9 am when I thought I’d get bump stops AND brakes done this morning… ended up only getting the Durobumps done

I made sure to balance it out by redlining my truck off every stop light on my way home from getting food a little bit ago.

 

Hopefully it was only 100yards away, so you wasted as much gas as possible with the 5 lights from here to there.
Do you guys have a shit ton of crosswalks there? We have activated stoplight cross walks every 50 yards or so on some roads that are only traveled by scrubs and gutter squirrels……..

 

Lol, luckily Chandler is not a very pedestrian friendly city. We save that bullshit for Tempe.

Tempe is lucky their street car has its own lane. Down here it runs thru campus on the same roads as cars. Last time I checked pedestrians have the right of way……..everywhere, but even more so in cross walks. The street car dings and rings and blasts thru the CWs on campus like it’s a video game…….. not on my watch jack!!!! Needless to say, I’ve gotten reported(my van number) and was said to be flipping off a different tram driver on the opposing side…….
I had my hand out the window…….waving on more kids to walk thru safely, and giving PLENTY of buffer zone……oh wait, more kids need to cross and get to class, please take your time! I had someone else in the van, we both told the boss I was just being safe! Hahahah
