Here in Oregon the landlord tenant law’s are so bad for landlords that this could go even worse. All he would have to do is get someone to mail him a letter to that address and he becomes a legal resident. It’s nearly impossible to get someone out, after that.

I went to Costco yesterday and bought their $350 Ring Alarm system... Just finished setting it up. We had the Nest Secure going and I was self-monitoring but I figure I need to get something that actually notifies the authorities. I'm hoping to sell the Nest Secure station, the Nest Yale Doorlock, 4 key dongles, and the 5 door sensors on eBay to recoup a little bit of my cost.

I have 11 Nest Protect CO2 and Fire detectors in this monster of a house - fortunately, the Ring came with a fire alarm/CO2 sound detector - all the Protects link up so I only need to put it by one of the Protects and I don't need to replace any of them.

There's a lot of scuttlebutt about Ring and what they share with the police. I've been finding Whataburger wrappers by our Pecan tree so I figure I'm already being surveilled by @Jim LE 1301 .

 

I threw them in your garbage can.

A friend of mine had just gotten a ring doorbell with the talky on it. His wife was in the front yard one morning watering plants. She's - gifted. He challenged her to show them off while he watched on his phone. She looked both ways for neighbors, pulled up her shirt, and shook them at him. I waited a few months after he told me about it before I told him the folks at Ring can see anything they want to, any time they want to. Not much to do now...

 

I kept trying to get my wife to do it when she was staying home with the newborn, but she knows how anything is accessible through wifi enabled stuff like that.

 

I have an ARLO system. I’ve strutted around naked in front of the camera enough I’m pretty sure no one’s “checking in” on my cameras anymore

 

I've got the blink. They've caught me having sex in the hot tub, emptying trash naked and close to it, and plenty of scratching/rubbing/adjusting. If they're making money off me, I would just like a small percentage or free surveillance. I'm not too picky

 

We have a Ring doorbell. They can watch it all they want. The good stuff happens inside.

 

My wife won't let me put one in our bedroom. I tried to tell her it's in case someone breaks into the house and tries to steal the gun safe in my night stand. She told to put the damn camera in the drawer then

When I told her about putting one in the room, one of the comments she made was, "Hell no! You're just going to show your friends you're in the moose club and all."

I did almost got kicked out the club when my wife almost caught me doing the moose (membership to the mooseclub gets revoked if recipient catches you), but I'm quicker than her

The pic in the background with the steer - I was at Kirklands with Mrs. Bandito looking for artwork for my brother-in-laws home and there was this kick ass artwork of a cow. She said nobody buys that kind of stuff. I told her it was cool. She told me to go wait in the car.

But now I was able to get the last laugh because you have a cow painting and you are the ToyoMafia Capomandamento...
