Not worth it. The only part of Ohio I like is the part near Kentucky where it gets hilly and that's mostly because I know I'm almost out of Ohio.

 

Ohio is like when a pretty girl waves at you and then you realize she's waving to the person behind you.

Yeah, he seems okay. Probably lives near Kentucky. Ohio even has the worst of the Great Lakes. Freaking Eerie. I mean come on, the name says it all.

Am I the only redneck here that would get out after sunset with the hounds and chase coons till they were treed? Usually involved alcoholic beverages and guns

You're not. I used to go with my dad. Long ago. The pelts were worth $30 each. Then politics got involved and they were worth $3 each. So much fun. Hunting with dogs, tromping around the woods in the middle of the night, popping coons with a .22. Getting the dogs back that would run a deer wasn't so much fun. They didn't last too long before someone else got them. All in all good times.

Did it with .22s as a teen when visiting cousins in Saskatchewan. No hounds though. We had a german shepherd who hated 'coons and would root em out like a pig finds truffles.

 

I don't mind Ohio I definitely wish winter was only a week long.

I have been to Wyoming and I know that’s not true. If you are newly arrived there, please go visit the Wind River wilderness.

 

Corn is great for privacy when your house is built in the middle of farm country. And the sweet corn from the garden taste damn good. Fuck The tornadoes I agree I hate that part. The buckeyes are some great tasting candy.

 

Wyoming is pretty nice.

Hell Ohio is hilly. You must just have been in the western part.

 

That’s crazy fun. The coonhounds we used we could recognize by their voices. You could also tell the difference from when they were running and when they treed. Sometimes they would get distracted by a deer or trash a skunk. Now I get wore out walking around flatland with @jewsNbrews looking for pheasant

Yeah, it was pretty much zipping down I-75 a long, long time ago. My memory may be off but I remember being miserable until I got near Kentucky. Then it became green and hilly.
