I'll be there mostly for the funny commercials; but my wife has (intentionally) missed football all year and wants a fix before the season ends. I love an underdog, so I'm hoping both teams will win.

I'd forgotten I have some Ray's Boudin in the freezer (thanks, Jason), so that'll have to get steamed. Mrs.TX makes a mean dip out of artichoke hearts and romano cheese, and there's a pizza joint called Taverna Rossa we'll probably get delivered. All this while trying to lose a little weight. I'll have to get a recap of the halftime show from someone, since I'll probably be busy. JK, please don't.

I want the culture of football to revert back to the way it was when Terry Bradshaw and Larry Csonka were playing.

 

Ray’s Boudin? Never had it. Is it good / easy to get? My favorite store bought brand is Buc-Cee’s. I usually buy whatever they have in the freezer when I go. It’s actually really good.

 

OK. I feel like I was here for some of that, but maybe I'm just more plugged in than I thought now...

It's not a grilled cheese any more, but I do like toasted cheese and tomato. It's got to be a good heirloom tomato, sourdough bread, and some good brie and gouda cheese though.

I've also been known to eat pineapple on pizza. Not my first choice, but my younger daughter
always orders that and I usually eat a piece or two.

And what sort of landscaping is Taquito referring to? If it's related to body hair, I'd tend to agree with that definition. I rented a house one summer from a gal in Portland that was the embodiment of "earth muffin"

Apologies - it's Billy's Boudin, we just buy it at Ray's Grocery usually. You have to go to Opelousas (wife's fam is there); or IIRC they'll deliver (I'm sure shipping will cost just as much as the boudin). If you're anywhere near southern Louisiana, it's definitely worth the detour.

 

I'll eat pineapple on pizza occasionally. It's not my go-to but I have no moral objection to it. Mushrooms on the other hand, can fuck right off.

 

Its probably 3-4 hours away. Really don’t go through Louisiana anymore.

 

I like mushrooms but agreed that they just ruin any pizza.
