Normally I would PM you, but this needs to be said since there are questions about it. I won't give you the same response I received earlier and treat you with a little dignity and respect when asking a honest question.

To answer your earlier question about the ads and product at the bottom of the page. Yes, this does generate some cash flow to support the site. It is set up at the bottom of the site unlike other sites with pop ups. Vendors do not pay fees either. We get to work with the people that enrich the site instead of pedaling junk or whatever. If Bob didn't have this cash flow, he could either spend the money out of his personal accounts or start charging membership fees or vendor fees. I have been on Staff with other sites that charge annual dues, vendor fees of 1000-1500 per year etc.

Now for your last question. Everyone in here is pretty tight, some good laughs with great people. Tom is one of those great people. He (and others if being honest) were spamming the whole site with this little video clip. In the green room within the Code of Conduct have at it boys. When people start posting this sort of things in others FS ads, build threads, general areas it becomes a problem.

    Screen Shot 2022-08-29 at 12.58.34 PM.jpg

That is just a little screenshot of what went on that evening and you can see this is all over the place. There were many more. When a Staff member tells these individuals to stop and they don't...sorry man, you are going to have something happen.

So let me ask you a question. How would you react to someone posting something like that (that you don't know) in this thread?

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/fs-...tainment-attn-4-runner-sequoia-owners.108795/

What about people posting 1st gen images in this thread and calling your Pro a POS?

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/2021-crewmax-late-in-the-year-build-question.104179/

Even if we could agree that it wasn't disrespectful to any of the members, it was to the Staff and site owner. Any of the other sites I have ever been apart of, if something like this happened the members involved would have been gone permanently. That I can guarantee.

This isn't up for discussion, so do not quote me. If you have a problem with what the staff did...voice it here:

    https://www.tundras.com/forums/chat-with-the-staff.59/

I'm done defending the decisions we make on this privately ran website.

Thank you for the detailed response; it definitely provides a bit of insight and information into the world of online forums. I never really perceived them (forums) as a "business", and that is simply my ignorance and my failure to apply any level of critical thinking, analysis or research into how they worked.

    In response to your questions:

Scenario 1: Yeah, definitely an annoying shake my head moment, but if it was 'one and done' I'd ignore it and move on.

Scenario 2: Really the same response, except I've recently learned how to use the 'ignore' feature, so if someone gave a response or posted something similar to your scenario on a thread I initiated, I'd probably use that feature as well and move on w/my day.

If your questions were more rhetorical and you were not wanting an actual response to them, my apologies... :hattip:

Again, thank you for taking the time to respond and explain. Have a good day!

I got a phone for work and of course it's an iPhone that doesn't even have a number attached to it. Anyone know what case would fit an Xr?

    The XR is a 10. Roman numerals X = 10.
Don’t ask me why, it was an apple thing.

The 10 appears to be a different size. I'll just skip the case, don't like the iPhone much anyways I just have to use it for work.

Check the build link in my signature.
Pretty sure the only case that will fit an XR is a case for the XR. It was a unique size compared to anything previous.

My wife pruned a bunch of plants in our landscaping....some holly trees and hydrangeas mostly. She put the clipped pieces by the road not in the trash cans being picked up this morning. I told her they wouldn't pick them up cuz we're not in the city and people typically throw them in the trash and/or burn them.
"No, they'll pick them up. They said they would."
"Um....no, they will pick up stuff they can get with their grabber since they only have the one guy on the truck now."
    "Nope, they'll get it."
I get home after work and see one trash can brought in, and the other at the road with all the clippings. Now.....me being who I am, I'm not going to come out and point out her being wrong. So I said, "wow babe, you got home from work and clipped a bunch more landscaping and put them in the trash can and put it back out by the road before I got home with the kids? Geez, uou were hustling today!" (My wife gets home typically 1 hour or less before me)
She looks over at me slowly and just lightly says, "no, they didn't pick up the clippings."
"Oh damn, I thought they would have since they were at the road."....as I walked into the other room.:D:rolleyes:
