When does FLM or medal leave pay start for you? I know at my work you kinda get dicked and have to burn all your sick and vaca because it doesn’t kick in until 45 days later…….. some bs for sure!

 

FMLA kicks in my first day out, it only holds my place of having employment with my employer.
My health insurance Short Term Disability kicks in after 14 days off, and pays from day 1, but it is a 5th of my regular income.
It is all good, that is why we have money saved..

Been a busy day at the ballfield for my 3 girls in their divisions. Oldest got her a ring in coach pitch. Other 2 are in tee ball and wee ball. All had great days!


Been running a lot and am tired. Time for a beer and a movie with the kiddos. Picked the movie Flubber

 

Nah brah. I head back to work tomorrow.

Should be an interesting first week back. I found out they want to nickel and dime me for 3 hours of extra OT I did in the last 2 months. Apparently anything above the regular 2 hours of OT per day has to be manager approved.

I didn't realize construction worked that way. If something comes up at the end of the day, I deal with it. I guess that's not allowed without planned approval now. We won't talk about the 12+ hours of extra time I did over the last couple months and didn't bill them for. I'll just walk off the site at 1630 everyday, shut my phone off and let whatever is on the go either wait for the next day, including just walking out of meetings and letting developing issues explode.

 

Sucks that that is the culture they are fostering…

 

Yeah. Just talked to my buddy/coworker. Apparently team morale is in the toilet. Again. If it weren't for the amount of money they pay me and the time off i get, this would probably be my last shift. Real sick of their bullshit.

Remember to be responsible today cru and let her have a few before you begin your wreckless Sunday day drinking routine.

 

Keep in mind is Mother's Day today. Make her do all the things that makes her a mother. Leave the house to go hunt, fish, get drunk, and have fun..... just leave her with all the kids and responsibilities of a mother. Come back to give her that 3 minute wienering (to remind her that is how she got her position as a mother).

Sorry it took so long to respond. I was finishing dishes, putting the kids down for a nap, prepping dinner for tonight, and trying to seduce her....trying.

 

So we can expect little Fotnot #6 in 9 months.

 

Trying means I didn't succeed. 3 of the 5 found a way to interrupt. I'm no quitter though
