The prices of tires these days are crazy! When I bought my at2’s in 2018 I paid 1450 with certificates. Now to get the Toyo at3 with certs it’s $1950 that’s through discount tire.

Ive been trying to get my hands on the Falkens but have had 2 orders canceled within the last week. Not sure when they expect inventory. Toyo was my second choice, guess theyll get my business by default. Its a shame because my tire shop qouted me 1100 out the door install for at3ws in 295/70r18.

Just to throw this out there I ordered my 295/70/18 falkens from SimpleTire, took about two weeks to get them delivered. Set me back about $1100 installed. Not sure the toyo AT3 is worth $1000 more IMO. Falken has a 55,000 mile warranty. I also checked the manufacture location and date, dated 21/21 and manufactured in Thailand.

Thanks for the info man. Yeah I’m not sure they are worth $1000 more either

When did you order? I checked simple tire and it was going to be right at 1300 for 4 installed.

IF anyone is looking at Falken Wild Peaks AT3w. May I suggest Walmart.com.

They were cheaper there than any place. (When I got a set for my wifes GX 470) But that was before Covid. Still good price point now. Now I didn't let the goofballs at Walmart install on the FN Wheels. I went to RnR Tires and got them balanced, road/tire damage thingy and life time rotation for about $80.00 total

Just to throw a wrench, how about Toyo R/T tires? I have them and they have been great on the Tundra. I think they are a bit more than A/T3.

I have zero experience with Toyos but currently have 35k miles on a set of Falkens. No complaints here. Good under every condition and have plenty of life left still.

No issues with the Falkens WP I'm currently running , quiet, great tread design and aggressive side walls... Big fan

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT seems like a great option to these 2. Significantly less, made in USA, 3PMS rated too. And look great IMO.

About two weeks ago, it’s probably due to Oregon has no sales tax. They also complemented the install due to the delay in shipping. They advertise three day shipping.

My first attempt on getting my tires was a order through Walmart which was promptly canceled the next day buy the supplier due to zero inventory in the tire and size I wanted.

Not a Tundra but I have Toyo AT3 on our GX and Falken AT3w on my Tacoma.
Both are great but the Toyos are quieter.

How do they compare in the ice and snow, if you have ice and snow?

tires manufacturers are running on low inventory. I changed 2 sets of tires on various vehicles and manufacturing dates on both were 2 to 3 weeks before me ordering them. Not much stock in the U.S.
They are BFG KO2s ordered from Costco.

I’m in CA with little snow or ice driving.
I plan to take the GX on Toyos this season.

    Are those 35 12.5 Toyos 12 ply or 8?

Guessing the E rating maybe they’re 10 ply actually? My local tire shop can’t get the size I wanted 295 70 18 with any reasonable eta but they have the 8 and 12 ply 35 12.5 18 available. Nothing like twisting my arm to go 35’s. :D

well discount has a promotion on the Falken Wildpeaks so they are going on this morning. I’m also having them mount the best of my old tires to my spare so I’ll have a full size spare. I’ll post pics when it’s done.

Had the Toyo 35x12.50 AT3’s mounted last weekend, these things are a dream to drive on compared the the Nittos I had before. Can’t wait to see how they do in the snow!

The Wildpeaks still look great and perform well in all conditions.

Compared to my former Nitto G2 Terra Grapplers the Wildpeaks win hands down.

    37×12.5r18 E rated 50psi, rotated every 5k
