Can anyone post a pic of where exactly the tow converter relay is located at the rear of the cab? Someone posted a wiring diagram, but I'm having trouble locating it. TIA

Just look at the chart below diagram for the number. It goes behind the passenger rear seat

I had to stick my phone camera through the hole and click to take pics so that I could find it.

Awesome! So the pic of the black converter I posted just plug n play into the white one you have pictured or is your picture what it looks like wired from the factory? I’m a little confused, sorry. Is it on the floor or back of cab?

I’d just plug n play the relays and use a floorjack for the hitch if you have one available. A regular mechanic can do the hitch though.

Anyone know where the plug tow converter relay plug is on the double cab SR? I have a 2023 and it is not in the passenger rear side like the crew max and the diagram I found shows it’s behind the driver side rear seat. Not there either

For anyone with a DoubleCab SR, I found my tow converter plug behind the rear seats dead center on the back wall. You will need to remove both rear seats and the back panels

Good deal! If you haven’t read the other threads you will need two blue a/c relays and a black one plus the converter to plug in to your white plug in your picture. You will also need the bumper plug. Read my posts and you will see them. I’ll try to load the pics again. I got relays off Amazon. Don’t buy anything from the dealer!

I bought some denso relays on Amazon and confirmed running lights and backup lights are working. Tow converter relay is ordered and so is the redarc brake controller kit. Driving 1000 miles with a camper next week so hopefully all this stuff arrives on time!

Good deal! You will still need the towing/bk up (black relay) It’s bigger than the blue ones

I have the tow converter relay and the brake controller installed. Why don’t I have power to the 12v pin on the 7 pin plug? I’ve got brake and turn signal lights, running lights, backup lights, but no power to the 12v. I don’t see any missing fuses. I have the 2 relays installed

You got to have the black “Towing bk/up” relay to get power. It’s 40 amp. Here’s a pic. Mine wouldn’t work without it either. Plugged it in and bam! I highlighted with a red mark which one it is. Hope this does it for you!

i figured it out. It is the big 4 pin relay you listed, but actually in the “Sub Bat” spot. Borrowed one from my other car and it works. Can’t believe Toyota would run all the wiring but skimp on relays. I can understand the brake controller but the rest of it is stupid to remove

Thanks. In my many internet searches people were saying you needed the sub bat fuse but that slot has that weird bar looking fuse over it. I figured most people don’t know the difference between a fuse and a relay so I’d try it and it worked. Glad it did because my camper battery was dead and I couldn’t lower it down on the hitch without it!
