You broke the wheel/ tire down? The valve stems look similar. Regardless, the batteries are only good for 10 or so years.

I'm just curious, I deleted my sensors years ago. I "dummied" the ECU with a resistor to fool the computer that the tires were fine. My truck has no idea that I don't even have sensors in the tires.

I figure if I'm spending a grand for rubber, I feel better checking the tires the old fashioned way.

Many vehicles on the road have Indirect TPMS, this works in conjunction with the ABS system to measure differences in wheel speed. There are plenty of Toyotas that have this system as well.

The Tundras have Direct TPMS, measure pressure directly. I did not know this until last night after researching, since every other vehicle I have owned had Indirect TPMS that does work in conjunction with the ABS system.

This is not a good article.

I can't think of any vehicles that have indirect tire pressure monitoring.

As for the safety aspect, that is pure governmental propaganda.

The TPMS is used so manufacturers can maintain their corporate MPG numbers.

I'm sure others will argue that it is a safety feature 1st, but it will take a lot to convince me.

Indirect TPMS is more common than you think, Subaru for one used it a lot.

And since TPMS originated in response the whole Ford Exploder / Firestone tire rollover mess, I can’t agree it’s all about mileage.

I will agree that a good old gauge beats TPMS any day.

And I like your theory about RF interferance.

If the problem persists without any electronic devices on the boat being powered, then I would suggest OP connect the boat trailer to the truck, drive it until the light comes on, and take it to have the code read while active, and the light is still on.

Also curious if the TPMS light flashes, or comes on steady?

Light flashes at first then stays on
Put boat away drive 5 min or less and turns off

Flashing at first does indicate a system fault, not a low pressure issue.

So what about the radio interference idea? Anything electronic on the boat that stays powered up?

None! I tow a boat weekly
You can't afford not to have an Ultrex..It will change the way you fish..I'm a long time BBC member and you might make a quick post with your issue...Just to be frank. Your boat has ZERO to do with your truck tire pressure issue . In fact i have never heard of this problem before. I pull my Skeeter ZX200 once or twice a week year round and never an issue..

Not at all correct. Only measure tire pressure. Has nothing to do with wheel speed.

Your trailer will not affect your TPMS feedback. Something is wrong on your truck end. Don’t know what it is but it’s something with your truck.
