I'll ask again, who set up the hitch, If it was set up at the place you bought the camper I will say it's wrong. Follow the directions/set up procedure in the paper work that came with your hitch. Adding a 2 inch lift won't do anything when towing.

Another question. How far do you have to lift the back of the truck to get the load bars on? They look too low, if the trailer is level they should be level with the frame.IMG_8816.jpgIMG_8821.jpg

OP, to confirm, you have 1000lb spring bars?

in one of your pictures, the tongue mounts for the bars look REALLY low. Like how mine are for my 20 foot overall traily

I think you have a couple things going on here.

As everyone else has mentioned, before you spend more money to mask the situation, check your WDH setup.
Also, check your internal trailer load. Total weight may be ~6500lbs, but if all of that load is in the front, propane/batteries/spare tire, plus all the gear in the pass-through storage and/or interior gear loaded in the front of the trailer, your tongue weight is probably way more than it needs to be. I'd take it to a scales and get your tongue weight vs total weight and see where you're at. You may have to adjust how you load the trailer to get it balanced correctly. 10% of your gross weight is a good target for tongue weight.

When I had my old 35ft toyhauler, hauling a buggy and 4 quads, plus 4-5 days of unsupported desert camping stuff, I had to get creative with the loading to make the trailer ride right, and that was with an 06 Dodge 2500.
Too much tongue weight or too much weight aft of the trailer axles, neither make for an enjoyable tow.

I don’t have a close up pic at the moment but when I hitch back up I’ll take a picture and show you. I had a dealership do it for me and they did a very good job
