All this talk made me go look at mine. Never realized that the hook on mine is crooked. Is this normal? The driver side is different.

Yeah. Its normal. Its so those bolts that hold it on can be accessed. If it was straight, then the hook would get in the way of install/removal.

Really? I always thought it was to keep the tow strap from slipping off... :monocle:

My bad! I thought you talking about this part.IMG_3321.jpg

Everyone thats planning on getting rid of their OEM tow hooks: I‘d like to buy yours. I need one for sure. Might need 2 more depending on what I can dream up in tomorrows mediations.

Has anyone ordered the 4crawler demon hooks. Their website is awful. Unsure how to order.

    None yet!
Second this question. Are they plug and play hook replacements? Anyone know what size the tundra bolt is for those hooks (the default option on his site is M12x1.25)?

Well gonna resurrect an old thread (and wait for someone to post the usual meme). @theblurry1 if you're still active or is there anyone that knows the PN for the OEM longer tow hook bolts? Passenger side has tow hook and longer bolts while driver side just has tie down loop and shorter bolts. Putting another tow hook on like the one in this picture and need the longer bolts. Was hoping to get OEM as it's a fine thread bolt but not sure where to find the part number in the FSM. May just have to go to home depot or something and find a fine thread bolt.

I mounted my titans foglights to the tow hook bolt holes and had to order the bolts. None of the regular ‘gettin places’ had the right size/thread in stock.

Looks like the longer ones are 90119-A0029 (shorter are 90119-A0028).

So did anyone ever find a D ring anchor solution that costs less than $115? My truck is missing even the stock anchors that apparently are completely inadequate or something. With inflation these days the above actually sounds like a fair price!

Eff it, gonna get some curt 22411 unless someone has a better idea. Plan is to have soft shackles in recovery kit anyway (to go with synthetic rope in the winch).

Those will work but you'll need the right bolts. If you're missing every bit of your original stuff you might be able to get by with the short ones. Here are PN's posted from other member.

So you’re saying the included ones won’t work? Good looking out, I hadn’t even thought to check.

No I have one very similar to that from home depot. Diameter is right but the tow hook bolts are fine thread.

I got curious and checked, according to the guy who makes the solid mounts, 12mmx1.25 is standard Toyota. Doesn't mean it's right, but that's the claim.
