Ever since I realized I had to push the button every time I got in the Tundra, like an ANIMAL, the button has been dead to me.

It's not meant to be used as a constant feature...Use when needed it seems to me. When hauling heavy loads or towing on uphill and downhill grades. I don't find it necessary with my pop up truck camper unless in the mentioned conditions.

T/H does more than raise shift points. If you moderately accelerate and then press button, it accelerates quicker. I don't know if it remaps the throttle or disengages vvt or what.

Definitely changes the accelerator pedal feel. I used it Saturday while hauling some dirt and mulch in my trailer and pressed the gas peddle just like normal. Man, it launched like never before even with the load attached!

Tow Haul always engaged when off road. Great when actually towing something too....

I have a 2017 5.7 2WD SR5. The tow/haul button is a blast. I turn it on along with the manual shift on my 11 mile commute. At stop, start in 2nd, then 3rd at 30mph, and 4th at 40mph etc... +/-. Ease off the gas a little between shifts to allow the transmission to shift and hit it again. Its so much fun, sports car not needed. Been driving this way for about a month since purchase. As far as wear and tear, I don't think I give crap. Just change the damn oil, has some fun, and hope Toyota built the truck to withstand a little added stress. I bet they did ;-) I get 14MPG, good enough for me.

Is there any way to power brake/smoke the tires in this truck?

Beast mode turning of the LSD and traction control should do it.

Mine spins once all that is off without even holding the brake. Crazy the power when you turn off all the nannies.
