    Oh, I don’t for a minute believe that he only uses those 4 tools, or that he does shoddy work.

    I do believe that in a pinch he can and will work wonders with what tools he has at hand, proof being he drives a built up Jeep, and I’ve seen a couple videos of that “driving”. LOL.

    I totally get it. Was raised on a ranch. Can't run to town every time somethings breaks. And running to our town didn't mean we could get what we needed anyways without waiting a week. My dad had Prince Albert tins full of all kinds stuff. Even bent nails.

    My storage unit is full of things "I might need". I even stripped down wood pallets at work. I re-purposed the slats to use on my deck sidings on my property.

    I like the reference to "things I might need" and "re-purpose"...going to steel those...lol :)

    My son had a winch installed on his Taco. Installer forgot / lost some fasteners for the bumper cover and fender liners...he found what he needed in my "stash"...'nuff said...

    So you may find this a little amusing. All those tools were on my kitchen counter-tops since the move. Why? The #33 electrical tape is to tape the tie down strap ends on the trailer and must have left the roll in a coat pocket as normal, left on counter. Drives my queen nuts. The small channel lock pliers was for a bed that had a stripped out bolt hex head....and that didn't work, so out came the first thing I came to when going through all the bins of tools....pipe wrench!!! Not sure how it made it to the kitchen counter?? The lighter...no clue??? We don't smoke or have anything to ignite. So if I figure that one out, I'll be the worlds greatest detective.

    Made for a funny post though....

    Ha!! My dad did and still does the same thing!!! He dragged so many tin cans full of bolts, nails, etc from Montana that I was able to almost do my whole house remodel on his supplies alone. It was amazing. I still have some of his supplies. He comes up and uses my garage when we work on his Toyota's and can see all the tools he long term borrowed me. Kinda makes me feel like I'm paying him back for all he taught me as a kid and still does today. I enjoy working on his vehicles and paying him back a little bit while he sits down and drinks a cup of coffee and just talk.

    I got this. Northstar, 9.0 hp Honda engine. Probably had it for 10 years now. Starts on the 3rd or 4th pull the first time I use it and 1st pull every time after that. 3500 psi, which is more than I really need, Tool Time you know.

    I've got a similar one (more power than I really need) Homelite PRO, 3100 psi, with a Honda GX200 engine and great pump with stainless steel impellers that I bought from a pawn shop. Anyway, in researching pressure washers in 2012, the weak points of them is the motor and the pump. The one I have will strip the paint off of my deck; I had to turn down the pressure when cleaning my driveway. At the end of each season, I change the oil and use a "pump saver kit" to empty all water and keep it lubed while in storage. Not sure I will ever use it on my truck...just be careful and do some test runs...

    Yep, the Northstar comes with a CAT pump, which seems to be the best in class for the industry. I can get mine down to about 1200 psi with the reg valve and min throttle. It will for sure remove paint at max pressure. My pool surround is a product called Cool Deck. It has a lot of crevices that collect dirt and will mold, but even at 105F temps won't burn your feet. I use the pressure washer at max to clean that once a year. It works great, but still is a 15 to 20 hour job, split into 3 or 4 days.
    I'm not familiar with a pump saver kit, got details?

    Mine has a CAT pump too. Here is a pump saver by Briggs & Stratton on Amazon. I've used this and another kit from Home Depot that includes the Honda oil.
