I have a 2003 Tundra sport with an ARE tonnuea bed cover.Their is a oblong shaped latch that folds down to Drivers side. While loading truck with groceries and pulling top down latch doesnt want to engage.I have to hit the top edge with the inside of my forearm to allow the latch to fold. How do I remedy this problem. Thanks

The struts that keep the cover up when open are mounted to the side rails. The mounting bolts tend to loosen up with time and allow the strut to move towards the front of the bed making it hard to close. I would check that first. I would also check with A.R.E.

    good luck, john
