I know I can drill through the bed however I would like to use a drain fitting but it is hard to put one in when you have to screw it in on the opposite side.

    Ideas?

Here is the example for a pre-2022 truck bed.

One more question I had was whether it is better to make a hole in the wall or if we should make the hole in the bottom.

I'm not sure if you can see what I did with the BedRug in the way. I simply took a nylon 1/2" barbed X 1/2" threaded 90° elbow with a thin nut on the back side that came with the fitting. I pulled the bed wall plugs out and used a step bit to drill the hole in the plug so the threaded end would fit through and put the nut on and finger tightened it. I pushed the drain hose on then put the wall plug back in. This is the result. I also must credit another member on here for this idea. I just don't recall who that was.

The third gen doesn't have the bed plugs.

Thank you for the pictures. Works great but as Nonoredomestics said, there is no bedplugs in the 2022+ bedliners. I have to drill, which I am fine with the issue comes with the fact that since there is no bed plugs I am unable to reach in and put the nut on the other side. I need a solution where I can fasten it from inside.

Here are some ideas, but nothing perfect. Does anyone have any ideas similar to this? Something like this only smaller. Maybe a grommet style one might work too depending on thickness of the truck bed.

I didn't notice that you were speaking of the composite bed in the 2022+ Tundras. I don't have ideas. Sorry.

Why not just drill two holes big enough to ram the hoses through? It's not metal so you don't have to worry about rust or anything. I haven't bought a cover yet but when I do, that's my plan.

Just drill them where the plugs WOULD be and small enough to where you have to force them through and won't back out.

It has crossed my mind a few times but I think it would look much cleaner and keep the inside much cleaner if they are sealed.

This is my latest find. AC unit plugs. I just have to figure out how thick the plastic sidewall is.
