Are these really in that high of demand? I mean I don’t want to get rid of mine but for that price...

I've seen them sell for half that. Don't know that it'd sell for 200. Watch that listing to see if it does.

I've got an unrelated question. Does this knob have the nut high up towards the handle? How tall is it overall? I am having a custom one drawn up and trying to see how I will install it. I need to tell the maker where/how to put the nut to install it so it doesn't look like ape hangers! thanks.

That one's been for sale for a LONG time. About a year ago, I asked him how low he'd go, and he said he wouldn't budge, so I said forget it.

I ended up scoring one on eBay a couple months later for 90 shipped that was in better shape than that one. It was tough to wait, though. So, to answer your question, they are extremely rare and in high demand.

    And badass.

I dont understand the need for such a gigantic shifter knob.
I took my factory one off the day after buying my truck.
I replaced it with a piece of aluminum bar stock I turned and threaded in a late.20200720_165305_resized.jpg

I ended up selling local to a guy for $80. I could have probably held out and got more but he was nice and it was a quick and easy sell. I’m just fine with using the one that came on my truck so I put it back on.

I went with the V1 shift knob from AJT. Fits my hand nicely, looks good, and it wasn’t $200.

I've had this shift knob since I put in my 2014 when new. It is the greatest thing ever. If I ever sell my truck, I'm keeping my shifter!

Shit.....I left the exact same shift knob in my 2008 Tundra Limited when I traded in for the 2019 I have now. Not thinking about putting the original back on before selling.
Hell I bet I pad $45.00 for it 10 years ago. Now these things are fetching $200?

Full disclosure. I bought the 200 tomahawk shifter handle. Mine is not marred up like that one, so I'm assuming it was a different one. Not saying some of us are growing money trees in our backyards, but maybe some of us are in a position where we don't have to shy away just because price. Would it be more wise to spend that money on a mod that actually does something? Sure, but I already have the rock warrior rims and now the rock warrior shift handle just ties the whole room together. That was important to me. I have always wanted these since I started browsing this site even before I bought my truck.

I had one on my '08 and didn't even think about keeping it when I traded it in. Now I miss it...my hand spent nearly 300k miles resting on that horizontal handle, and the new TRD handled just doesn't feel right.

But for less than $200, it seems like I could get one custom made!

Damn this site...I take a few minutes, find something, and next thing I know :spending:

Just found one through a wrecking yard for a LOT less than the ebay price. I may need to do a little restoration on it, but at least it will be what I'm used to. :headbang:

I was thinking about getting a shifter knob for mine to replace the stock one, I do kind of like the stock one as far as looks goes since it does match the interior well but if I found something cool I would consider replacing it. Does the shifter have a set screw or do the twist off?

I had bought that Tomahawk Shifter for my 07 Tundra. Left it in the truck when I traded it in. Not a big loss since the leather wrap had started to unwrap/fall apart. But it sure did look nice/cool.

Crazy thing is I just recently found the ol stock 07 shift handle and it’s pretty much identical to the 21 shift handle.

Only difference is the 21 has some grayish plastic wrap on it. The 07 handle is just a solid black……so I decided to dip (with Anthracite Gray) the grip handle and use it in my new truck.

Kinda like the idea of having a piece of my ol tundra carrying on!

Picture of the Old and New……Then the old one dipped and installed so it matches the dipped shift gate, cupholder and surround.

    Too many, but not enough....
I would totally rock the RW shifter if I didn't have a column shift.

Looking at some old pictures and found this one of when I was selling my 07.

I included this picture in the ad showing how Great the two-tone leather seats still looked. (10 years old) If you look closely you can sorta see the Tomahawk shift handle!
