Just got in from mowing 2 food plots , and getting other stuff ready. Shooting BOWTECH JUSTICE for years, just got new BARNETT WHITETAIL crossbow last year, still up in the air about making the switch. Just isn't the same feeling of bow hunting. Also I don't see any 2nd shots, if needed.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Shot Hoyt years ago for many years, been shooting Mathews since ‘07. Drenalin, Z7X, Creed XS, Halon6. Recently been looking at the Vertix and VXRs.
Just set out cameras this past weekend. Hopefully will get some plots planted in the next couple weeks, weather permitting.

Perhaps b/c of the craziness of this year, I’m look forward to this fall more than ever.

So far I really like it. Shoots extremely quite and packs a hefty punch. Place I got it from paper tuned it and with my 300 gr target arrows its averages 320 fps and 97.7 ft lbs of kinetic impact @20 yrds. Not bad in my book. I don't really look to much into fps, a friend layed down a pretty nice 7x7 with this exact bow last year with a heavier arrow.

Bought it offline by a tip from a co worker.

Huntersfriend.com out of KY. Pretty impressed so far. I have not had to adjust my sight at all. And I ordered on a Sat and got it by the next friday in MT.

Ohh and I paid $959 for a full complete set up, bow, sight, quiver, drop away rest, stablizer, case, 6 arrows, broad heads and target heads, release, and paper tuning and set up.

That’s awesome! I was looking at Elite bows as they headquartered 45mins from me but they only make one bow left handed and it’s base price is $1100.

I will definitely look into the Obsession

Anyone here from So Cal got tags? I didn't get my lottery draw, so I got an OTC A32 tag. Ojai, either sex and late season (Nov 14-Dec 6). Also have AO tag so I'll be heading out in a month, not sure where.

Was supposed to be on an elk hunt right now but got fucked. My dad and I paid this guy $1,500 each for tags and to hunt on this guys private property in Colorado where we’ve hunted the last 2 years without a problem. After we gave him the money for the tags we told him we wanted to come in late August and he said sure. As it got closer we try to get in touch with him and nothing! After tons of calls, emails, texts with no response his uncle calls my dad, said that he’s filed for bankruptcy and the hunt won’t be happening. Now we’re trying to find a way to get our money back and plan something else for next year

    VXR 28!
Had it for a couple of weeks. Finally got it all built this past weekend.
    New rear stabilizer/mount
    Threadz custom string
    75# mods

I built some CX Maxima Reds a couple yrs ago when I was looking at the Triax. 525 gr total, with lighted nock.
I know CX says the MR ‘dynamic spine’ means they only need to have a 350 or 400 spine, but with the 75# mods, I’m riding the line of really needing a 300 spine.
    For now though, she’s thumping!!!

‘Got 20, 30, and 40 marks dialed in tonight. Shot two fletchings off...
    This was at 30.

That’s why it’s called hunting and not killing. But hopefully you’ll connect soon.
And I agree 1000%...my time spent afield puts me at a peace unlike anything else!

Spent all day Monday bush-hogging roads and initially prepping 5 main plots. Weather permitting, going to try and turn them over one more time, then plant winter mix early next week.

Season starts this Sat...can’t wait! Got some serious doe control to get started!
