I bought a new 2017 Nissan titan crew cab and had nothing but problems with it. 2 transmission updates and in and out of shop for the 2 years I owned it. The 7-speed trans was junk. Final straw for me was the engine knock with 15,000 miles on it. I didn't want to have my short block replaced so I traded it in on a 2020 tundra and I couldn't be more happy. I will say you get more for your money with a titan but not worth all the problems.Go to titan talk and you will see all the problems titan owners are having.

For shits and giggles, when shopping, I ran into a Nissan dealer. They had a red 4x, demo w 5k, that I really thought looked quite good. I started to haggle, or so i thought and the guy says, we no haggle.

Had he given me the deal I was going to ask for, it was a strong contender. I am really familiar with toyota so I know I would have still ended up with my tundra. But I feel the Nissan is a pretty truck.

My local toyota nissan dealer told me at Toyota care maintenance I made the right choice

Just recently switched from a 2013 pro4x to a 2017 TRD Pro. First Toyota I’ve owned but I’ve had 3 titans in the past. I am still a huge Titan fan. I had amazing luck with them. Nothing other than normal maintenance. If the Pro I bought wasn’t such a good deal I’d still be in a Titan (2017 Pro 1 owner 49k miles for $31k). The downside to Titan is resale value which is really important to me. The Titan absolutely will not hold its value like a tundra, but if your someone who keeps a truck for a long time I don’t think you can go wrong. The 5.6 is a great engine I have 3 friends with titans that are well over 250k miles and no issues at all. Good luck with your choice.
