I have been lurking around on Toyota and/or Tundra forums for years. We have owned a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo, 1997 4Runner, 2000 4Runner, 2001 4Runner, 2001 Tundra, 2002 Sequoia, 2013 4Runner Limited, and our current 2014 Tundra Platinum that we bought used a little over a year ago. When I bought my Tundra the previous owner had already gone to the effort of a tri-fold bed cover, Line-X bedliner, and TRD exhaust (don't think that's a factory option?). The first week I owned it I installed a light bar inside the front bumper cover, and that has been about it for 'upgrades,' besides Huskey mats up front and WeatherTech's in the back. A few weeks ago I started to realize that it was time for new tires before the first snow we were destined to get here in the PNW, and I started scanning forums for common upgraded tire sizes and brands Tundra owners liked for all-terrains. After a few weeks of reading, looking at different picture threads, and doing my own measurements, I decided to get new wheels, tires, and a leveling kit.

Here are pictures before this week:

It's nice having free access to a shop BTW!

    And the finished result:

    IMG_0789_83c3de2c9d976351a987ad18eef6bb6c6f1a0af3.jpg

    Here is what I installed:
Low Range Off-Road 3-1 leveling Kit
    Cooper ST MAXX 295/70/18
    MB 352 wheels 18x9 et25

As many others have had to do, I removed the front mud flap, and moved the front fender liner in farther to eliminate the rubbing from the larger tires. I'm really happy with how the trucks rides and sits now. It's a little stiffer than it was stock, and I can feel that it's shifting a little different than before, but that's the price you pay for making adjustments to factory spec. I'm really pumped about how it looks, and look forward to detailing it in the spring.

I purchased the crewmax mainly for the extra space in the back to transport our children and to tow project cars, but it mainly transports my bike and my friends bikes too...

    Thank you for the space.
