What do you guys think, should I get a Pedal Commander for about $300 or buy 600 rounds of 5.56x45mm? The Pedal Commander seems pretty cool from what I've read, and a friend who has one on his '16 Tacoma says he likes it, but is it better than a decent amount of ammo? I honestly can't make up my mind, so you guys tell me what you think I should do! Or maybe I should just save the money for that huge gas+insurance bill... But that's not very fun:rolleyes:

Haha yep the SC would be awesome, but I want to keep both my wallet and my Toyota reliability :p

Who can do the DAP tune and where would I have to go to get it done? Also I heard it's in the $600ish range, does that sound about right? Thanks

Peddle commander is a waste of money IMO. If you want to change the throttle mapping just hit the tow haul button.
If these are your only two choices, buy the ammo.

I may consider the dap tune if its not too expensive and won't sacrifice reliability/engine life, although if both the pedal commander and the tune will have nearly the same effect as tow/haul mode, I might as well use my tow haul button for free (other than the decrease in mpgs) and itch my trigger finger instead!

The tune will net a HP and TQ increase. Pedal commander wont.

Well based on your comments, and having tested out tow/haul without a load, im gonna go with the ammo. I don't know why I haven't tried the tow/haul thing before. I know that low end torque and throttle response is kinda the point of it but I'm still surprised at the push you back in your seat feeling you get from it without even mashing the throttle.

The peddle commander is like a Big Mac. It's great, but tomorrow, you'll just be hungry again. It remaps the peddle curve. Once you develop muscle memory for the new setup, it will be like you never added it.
