Throttle Body Spacers, What’s your take?

Throttle body spacers- one of the most controversial aftermarket parts in the car/truck world. Some say it gives better gas mileage, torque and hp. While others say it just makes your wallet lighter. Some get it just for the whistle it gives- almost like a supercharger, but i think i would rather go all out and buy the supercharger. What is your take on Throttle Body Spacers? Share your experiences and comments about them. Im neutral on them, and dont really know what to believe.

 

the afe kit i put on came with one. I think its complete bs, but it came with it....so on it went.

 

Yeah I think it’s bullshit. It’s not a carburetor where you put a spacer on. That actually does something. When you have fuel injection and it’s not a TBI I feel the throttlebody spacer does Jack shit. Might as well throw a tornado in there while you’re at it LOL

And what is it? Every 100 lbs is about 1/10 of a second in the quarter mile? Add a CAI and it actually will make your truck faster.

 

I have one on the Tundra. Didn't notice any difference but the whistle. Its kinda cool but no real advantage.

As a cheap “for now” i might get one for the whistle haha, ill be getting a volant CAI soon too
