I know everyone on here loves toytec... and I have no issues with them.. but the shop I am using said they prefer this lift. so I wanted to make sure it is up to snuff....

Just looking at the kit it looks like they're changing out the UCA's and knuckles but keeping your stock shocks and adding a spacer? Your ride can only get worse.

Jason, that lift kit and I think most of Fabtech lifts do not work with your OEM Wheels. I was looking going that route (Spindle Lift) till I came across that. Guess it comes down to what your doing with your truck. I know guy's running Fabtech with full Icon coilovers and rears, the list goes on. Is it a bad lift :notsure:. Good luck

They probably make more margin on Fab Tech, but maybe I’m just cynical. The only guy on here that I know of with Fab Tech on a Tundra is @LibertySand.

:popcorn:I'm high maintenance when it comes to popcorn. Movie attendants ask to take their break when they see me in line. I need my popcorn buttered, salted, layered

I was under the impression you didn't want to go with lifted spindles if you have 4x4 something to do with front axle angle.

You are correct Steve a spindle lift is for 2wd only, but with the particular kit in question you need aftermarket wheels.

So stock wheels don't have enough offset to clear the spindles ?

No , @ +50-60 offset and that set up, it will not work. I believe the knuckles are the problem. That's why they suggest aftermarket wheels. Similar to my set up with the 6112's keeping stock wheels @ +60 and moving up to 295/70/18's I had to go with spacers to pull the wheels away from the control arms.

So I decided to run with FabTech, but I upgraded to the package with the Dirt Logic coil overs and rear shocks... I was upgrading the wheels anyways so it wasn't an issue for me. Waiting 3 weeks until fabtech fabricates more coil overs to send to my installer, I'll post pics in a few weeks when finished... now I need to decide 34" or 35" tires... I guess there will be less "trimming" with the 34's.. I'm not even sure what is being "trimmed" so any input on tire size would be great...

here is a link to the lift https://fabtechmotorsports.com/product/4-budget-uca-system-w-rear-dirt-logic-shocks-k7050dl/

Nice Jason, don't know how many guy's are running Fabtech, so . Them Dirt Logics look nice. As far as rubbing , the 34's may hit your lower mudflap . Nothing serious. As far as the 35's can't comment but someone will chime in. Post pics after install

The o my difference is the uniball on the other model, I said the same thing myself, I hate the word budget... makes it sound cheap.... but it is the only difference...

Well Jason, to ease your mind. We had 4 Lifted Tundras @ our 1st and only Tundra meet up in Richmond. They all ran Fabtech lifts 6" and 7". They ran icon coilovers . I think you will be just fine. If I remember I believe cusviper said he ran them Dirtlogic shocks. Maybe he'll share his thoughts .
