I just installed the Tyger star steps, love the function and look. They make a matching bull bar that I am considering.

Personal taste - I don't like the look but a lot of people seem to like them. If you like or need one then you should get one.

I do like this but it’s not really a bull bar its an actual bumper with a stinger welded on. The only advantage to a bull bar I see is a good place to mount lights.
This bumper has a winch mount and is structuraly tied to the frame.

As to my original post, I actually like the way they look but by marketing them as a "Bull Bar" it emplies they are tough as hell. I saw someone pull up too far opposite the buggy return rack at Kroger and bent one. :muscleflexing:

Bull bar? Oh, you mean damage multiplier. LOL.

I had one on my truck when I bought it. It was mainly to mount a couple of off road lights. I didn't care for it, removed it and much prefer the lines of the truck without one. They serve no protective purpose at all, but some people like the look. To each their own.

There is protection if you ever park your truck in Chicago. People who Parallel park tap your bumpers while they are parking to know when to stop. Granted it won’t do much to protect from a accident but it does save my bumper from those idiots. That’s the only reason I have it. Plus the weathertech rear bumper guard to save the rear bumper as well. I hate parking in the city.

    Still rocking the stock height.
I have been going back and forth with putting one on my truck. I like the look of some but not others. I would use it more for a place to mount some lights to, but want to keep the tow hooks. I know you have to remove the tow hooks with some of them.

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
Here’s mine. I love the look and do understand the cons of having one. I have the Rough Country LED BB. Although the website says it will interfere with the Lane Departure, Pre-Collission and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, I personally Have not experienced any issue with these but I can’t guarantee that you won’t.

Like the look the Tyger bar gave my truck. It's got a few extra curves compared to the rounded Westin bars I see all over the place. Probably going to add the steps next.

If price wasn't a factor, I would have definately added a heavier duty, full guard like shown above though

I had one on my '07.
I liked the look, but I did not like all the weight it added in front of the wheels.
Removed & sold it - happy now.

That was one of the things that went through my mind also.
Looking back on all the mud bog Events i have seen, all the seasoned drivers took the grill and lower valances off there trucks before they ran the course. The guys with big ass bumpers and welded bull bars didn’t have much damage at all, some scratches, caked in mud...
It all depends on what comes in contact and the height of all that. Tundra bumpers have a bunch of plastic surrounding the actual reinforcement.
That can be costly to replace... but nothing made to last these days. :anonymous:
