He's at Memorial Central in the pediatric unit. Its where he was born, spent 10 months in the NICU, and it's only 4 blocks from his pediatrician office. That's where him and Mom were when the decision was made to send him to the ER. This is a phenomenal hospital, but he has spent time at Children's in Aurora, and Highlands Ranch in the past. He's had a very complicated medical past, but if he's not sick, you'd never know it. Thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Means a bunch!

We do have a nice view from our room too. Right next to the helipad, which he loves, and Pikes Peak!

I'm home now playing with my 3 year old grand son. Manny has been to the Children's Hospital twice. Breathing issues both times. Viral I think. Total of 6 days. Tubes and wires all over the place. I feel for you. Kids are tough. We fret about things like this and kids take it all in stride.

Update before shift change. Docs just did rounds and respiratory therapy has weened him down on his Albuterol and Pulmicort nebulizers to every 4 hours instead of every 2. His lungs have started to open up and now it's all about restoring the blood flow to the areas that tightened up from the virus. He's now down to between 1/4 to 1/2 liter of oxygen during the day and he's getting feisty and ornery. There's still a LOT of loose junk in his chest and nose we are working to get out but things are definitely looking up. We were admitted Wednesday night so hoping we're on the down hill here. His oxygen needs are still slightly higher at night up to 1 liter or so, but with every day that goes by things seem to get just a tiny bit better. Thank you guys SO much for all the kind words, prayers, and offers for support. Will update in the morning after the docs do rounds again if nothing significant changes. As of now, we are still on gown/glove isolation precautions.

Saturday morning update. Doc just did rounds and said his lungs sound 100% better. He's moving air much better on his own and he's down to 1/8 of a liter oxygen. The steroids have done their job nicely. Still has quite a bit of loose mucus and snot, but it's loose and coming up and out. Returning to normal feeds and removing IV fluids. Fever has been gone for 2 days now. Tentative discharge on the charts for Easter Sunday pending a "room air trial" off the oxygen this afternoon. Things are looking up. Thank you guys so much for the support and kindness. You have no idea how much it means to him, and us as a family.
