Isn't that the differential size? That probably doesn't have anything to do with the axle rating.

I tow with my base SR model my 6500lb travel trailer. I can tell you, my truck tows like a champ, flying up the steep passes 60+ mph effortless, it is for sure under rated!!. The 10 speed tranny never fishes for gears, I bet I can tow way more than the ~ 8500K its rated to. I bet it can tow as much as the SR5s , but for marketing they have to justify the lower SR price. My axle is the same, same tranny cooler, same everything and if the boost is lowered (not sure??), I honestly can't tell. I even think that the tow haul mode is bull s... , I don't need it , the truck is always in the right gear, and when it comes to engine braking, guess what?.. that V6 doesn't slow it down like a V8 would so it is so-so anyway. I do manually downshift if on steep hills, when needed - no biggie, but I love the 20k $$ savings pf the price for SR : )

Oooh was he asking axle rating? It’s different between the two. Gas is 3860 lbs and hybrid is 4080 lbs. But that could be just springs.

220 lbs sounds about right for added hybrid components, doesn't it?

Yeah front is unchanged though. And front and rear GAWR together exceed the GVWR of each gas and hybrid truck.
