Thanks! I love that truck! Never had a black car, but I like this one even if its a PIA to keep clean.
I have a 1inch pro comp lift getting installed on Monday. I will take pics and show before and after. The 1.9 lift with the 6112's made it dead even when I measured floor to fender lip in my garage, this is the day I put them on. Truth be known, the ride at that level is a bit stiffer but it rides well. The nose up seemed to lift it a lot from the drivers perspective. Had to adjust the seat, back and forth, up and down... still looking for the sweet spot. And, the headlight aiming control gained about 4 points... that's how I know the significant difference. I will go ahead with the lift and I will have it removed and either sell it or wait for my next set of tires cuz what I have is brand new. I went with Falkin Wildpeak A3 's. A Lot of tire for the money! So far I love them. Not much louder than the Michelin's for an AT and I like the look. Waiting patiently for my Headache rack to arrive, then I think I will be done for the winter! Will see what Black Friday brings...

I also like the look, it evens the space above the tires and fender way more than with the stock look. To me that is the first thing that grabs your ( or my ) attention, front to back looks really good I think.

I still say try some new rear shackles in the rear to add a touch of rake back to it. Much cheaper than removing leveling kit.

It may be starting to grow on me. Looks great at most angles....so I’m gonna wait a bit as I don’t want to regret taking the 1.5” out of the front when the front starts to sag a little with time. Will keep you posted....

I think it looks good. But it's your truck....you gotta do you.

I love how mine looks, but I raised front and back with the ToyTec BOSS 3/1 w/ shackles...

I agree. I liked mine at the 1.9 setting. Just had the pro Comp rear 1 inch blocks installed as we speak. Here is before and after. Definite difference with the original rake. Notice it right away from. The cab.
After pic is first and last. Added the LED reverse lights at the end
First impression is I liked the feel in the cab at level but that just driving it back home for a half mile. Will leave it like this for a while I like the look of the rake though and it’s definitely lifted! I am done with the suspension tweaks st this point! This is the best advice given in this thread. You and only you need to be happy with the way the truck looks.

I felt the same way when I leveled mine @ 1.9". I decided to lift the rear and went with the Coachbuilder rear shackles (CB+2). Pic below

I can't stand how low the nose sits on these new trucks. There was a time when you bought a 4x4 and the stance was higher. Now it is all about squeaking another mile or 2 out of the MPG rating. On the ranch I hunt I would have torn off the plastic on the bottom side of the bumper and probably dinged up the factory skid by now. I knew when I bought that the nose had to come up. If I was the OP I would just change the shackles and lift the back an inch. If myself I would dump the spacers in front unless it is a street queen.

I’m wondering on shackle lifts if a 1” lift lifts the back 1”, or less. The Coachbuilders say that theirs actually lift less than actual inches that you buy. For example the 1” states .625” of lift.

I think with that means is the shackle itself is 1 inch longer but it equates to .625” of lift. Remember they are sort of a hinge, so there is some swing to it that has to be taken into account.

That may work good because I wouldn’t even need a full 1” to give it just a little more rake. A 1” block lift would lift it the actual 1”.

Before you make any more stance changes, add some side nerf bars on the beast. BTW, I have some for sale:spending:
Seriously though, you won't regret having them. They'll fill in the void, make the truck look better and they serve a purpose.

Hammy, appreciate you creating this thread and getting thoughts out there. I'm at the end of OEM tires on my Platinum CM, can't decide what I want to do and running out of time before the white gold flies. I like the tire size on your truck and thought both the prior lift stance and post lift stance still had a natural look to it, but you have to look at each one in a vacuum. Kind of like looking at different TVs, side by side you can tell the world of difference, but once you get home and use it for awhile, it grows on ya and you don't even realize it anymore (so long as you got the one you were reasonably happy with).

Let it marinate for a while.

I think the truck looks good like it is OP. It's very easy though when you start going with a 2-3" lift however that 33's look small. I went the same route as you on my 08, 275/70/18 stock, and then with a 2" spacer. My spacer has definitely settled over the last few years and has some rake.

I appreciate it! I've had the truck since 2011 with those steelies, and I finally bit the bullet this past February and bought rims when I needed tires haha. The 275/70/18 is a great compromise on these trucks for stock or slightly lifted in terms of tire size and performance, as well as price.

I wanted to thank everyone who responded with comments and suggestions and also give an update. I had pretty much made up my mind that it was nose high and I was just gonna remove the front spacer and go back to stock. I was hanging around the local garage on Wednesday which specializes in off road set ups and talking about taking the spacer out when they put my snow tires on. One tech ran out and said he had just taken a brand new Rough Country 1.5” block out of a Tundra as the owner wanted to go higher. He said he’d throw them on mine real quick before I took the spacers out and promised I’d be happy. I nervously said ok, and when he backed it out, I loved it! 1.5” higher in back and put a little rake back in. So for me and my use- a 1.5” front spacer and 1.5” RC rear block beefed it perfectly for me. Very stout looking now. Sorry for long post and thanks everyone!
