Looks great. Love the combo of a trophy wife spec white GX plus all the proper off road goodies.

I wasn’t the only person and definitely wasn’t trying to be an ass. It’s just not my style and The look with that particular wheel tire combination doesn’t work for me or that vehicle. IMO.

It’s his 75,000-85,000 rig but my opinion I can’t really explain. Next time I’ll keep my mouth shut. Furthermore, I have a white truck NOT lifted or leveled with black fender flares what the hell do I know about style. Lol

It’s been two months or so on the KO2s on the GX. Really like them now. Handles much better on highway, and of course much more capable off pavement and in the little snow we’ve had so far. I have been looking at suspension. Don’t tell the wife.

Watching closely! I’ve been looking at suspension. Leaning towards Icon from MetalTech. What are you going with?

    That's awesome.

:thumbsup: I have a GX470 on the line, waiting to get some work done before I pick it up. As long as it seems reliable, I think the GX will be my commuter/slow paced trail project. I'm trying to find some FJ wheels or the 4Runner TRD SEMA wheels to slap on it to start. Hoping to take the kids to Rausch Creek in it once she's ready.

Nice choice in vehicles & colors!
We got the 2015 GX460 & 2020 Crewmax (don't pay any attention to the mess)

Awesome! Congrats. What color? Honestly I like the look of the 470 better than the 460. I was thinking about 4Runner TRD Pro wheels on ours - maybe some day. Post pics when you get it.

Agree on the styling of the 470 over the 460. I had mica blue 470 before my Tundra. The nice thing about the 460 is you get fold flat 3rd row and can get captains chairs in the middle row. Now they just need to get rid of that molded sidestep...

I just sold my Tacoma with a different set of wheels. I tried convincing my wife to put our TRD faux lock wheels on her GX but she made me sell them to help pay for the new Tundra. I do like the idea of the Pro wheels though.

Thanks, it's a 2005 Silver Pine Metallic with dark grey interior. It has nav and the ML system, 152k miles, no rear spoiler. It has been in North Carolina for over 90k miles. Had the timing belt done at 90k and has a clean Lexus service history up to that point and a little after.

I haven't seen it in person yet, but my friend who is a car dealer with OCD snagged it. I can pass on it if I want, but I hope all goes well. He wanted to get it checked out before the sale bc the air suspension was stuck in the up position. Personally I would just do the coil conversion and he done with it. We'll see what happens.

The 460's interior is much nicer! I couldn't swing the extra cash for a 460.

These were the ones I like. Found this pic of a Silver 470 with them on it, I like the look of them on it.

That looks great. The wheels on the GXOR concept are sweet too. I think they are just a darker gun metal version of stock Premium Luxury wheels.

That sounds like it will be a great rig being in NC so long. The platform of these vehicles is so awesome for off roading. One of the most capable rigs in the world. The suspension is no big deal. The air will go out after a while. Just do the conversion and you are all set.

We're still loving the Dobinsons and K02's on our 2019. It's a super comfortable ride that eats up the crappy roads

Looks great! How tall is the lift and what size tires? Any issues with the KDSS? Really like the look!

After a terrible experience with a Mercedes SL55 AMG's proprietary air over hydraulic, I would pretty much always advocate for moving away from air and going to coil but that was a sporty street car so it's not necessarily a direct comparison. It stopped adjusting on demand, then got totally stuck, then totally failed & lowered while driving normal on the freeway. Systems like that can be expensive to replace (~$10k in that case) but finding a bolt on replacement and a shop that would do the conversion is also difficult. I'd do it myself but the conversion takes about 4 days & $3.5k in parts... moral of the story is, be careful and do your research on proprietary abnormal suspension systems.

As far as the wheels go, the ones you pictured are what I had in mind when you mentioned the Pro wheels. I do like the style and would also consider them on our GX.

I like the look of that GXOR but not a huge fan if the color; the esthetics are striking.
My wife was sitting next to me when I opened that picture and she goes "EWWW... NO!"

It's a 2" lift all around, SPC UCA's, and 265/70r17. No problems whatsoever.

Next purchase is bigger tires along with sliders. Thinking of going 285/70 but really want to go 33s.

And the tailgate design. If it hinged from the top, I would buy a GX460 tomorrow. I just don't think I would like that swing out rear tailgate. Opinions?

The swing out design never bothered me but it would be nice if it opened the right way.
