The gromet you used to get power into the cab, is it pretty easy to find onder the truck?

It is. It is right beside the inside of the frame and above a crossmember. This pic is looking towards the front of the truck.

Yeah I know, they sent me a text about it. Just not in the cards right now with the suspension. The good thing about them is that they have very frequent sales.

But! I did order some recovery gear and their tire plug kit.

Hi @Wallygator , thanks for the pic of your RCI fuel tank skid. Any tips for install? I reached out to @RCIoffroad for instructions and hope to hear back from them soon. Had no luck reaching them by phone but hopefully will get something by email. I’d call myself a novice at building trucks, but I have installed aftermarket bumpers, sliders and the RCI skid package for trans and engine, so I am a step up from absolutely zero experience by now. Anyway, any tips or watch-outs you can share would be appreciated! I already picked up on the one about running your tank to near empty first—thanks! I had not thought of that.

do you have to replace the straps or do you have a TRD model? If you have a TRD model the hardest thing will be lifting the skid in place to bolt it on. With the SR5 or non TRD model...Yeah it's pretty easy with about the hardest thing again being lifting the skid up in place.
Really the best tip is running the tank to near empty due to it being too swollen if there is fuel in it. If the tank is too swollen it will be pretty difficult to change the straps or bolt up the skid.
I changed one strap at a time. Then bolt up the skid and done. Let me know if you have any other questions and hopefully I can help.

Just got done with, hopefully, my last super messy pain in the ass oil change on this truck. Went with the Valvomax system for the drain plug...

    IMG_20210727_134915910.jpg

    IMG_20210727_133824648.jpg

Also got the motiv tools funnel, which is awesome! An used a filter drain tool I purchased off of Amazon that works great.
Went with the mobil 1 truck and suv 0w20 this time. It's what was available. Anyway, the next oil change should go way smoother with lots of reduced mess..... hopefully:)

Look at post #62. The grommet is under the back of the passenger seat. You will see two grommets it's the forward one. Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything

Because with the green it doesn't bother my eyes while driving and you can still read things with the green. Can't read anything with red light. Hope this helps

The new camping system has arrived!
Don't know when the install will happen as there is only one person at this business trying to do what he can, everyone else including the owner has the Wuhan right now.

From what I have heard even the US nuke subs use green LED's while underway, and they are under the ocean:p

Made some progress the past couple of days on the build out. Still much to do. Got the wood over the battery box sorted and put the bike mount on it..

    IMG_20220131_175915983.jpg

Then went through the camping gear and removed a lot of excess. It's all under the cot in this pic. The cheap led from ironman4x4 works pretty good. Much more to do but it's getting there.

Got the battery box and divider stain done.

    IMG_20220222_160428473.jpg

Put everything back in. Window coverings done. All the camping gear fits under the cot, worked out well.

Attached the Ironman 4x4 quick release awning mounts using 3M 4950 VHB and eternabond tape

    IMG_20220219_161848284.jpg

Mounted the solar panel the same way.

    IMG_20220221_135935903.jpg

Then ran the wires to the cab. Thank goodness they were long enough.

    IMG_20220221_154709558.jpg

Because this topper came without a rack I guess ARE saved some money on aluminum. The build quality of this very expensive top is sub par IMO. I added additional aluminum (3 bars) to stiffen things up for the solar panel. They are only taped in place at this time.
Just got back from a 1700 mile trip and no issues, fingers crossed that continues.

Finally got one side screened in. Used magnets and velcro. When I do the other side I think it will be all velcro. Used pet screen, pretty beefy
