    Not sure at this point.
Even when you install them, they'll rotate. You'll need to hold it while you install it.

It'll actually be okay to use loc-tite with them. I'm sure the SDHQ is similar to what you bought too. Dabbed the bolt with loc-tite and since I've installed them (probably 2+ months now), haven't budged yet.

I wish I had the balls to do my stereo. I like the setup, wish it was inside my truck. :(

It wasn't a bad project for me, but I've done quite a few stereos in my own cars, as well as some friends' vehicles, over the years. I'm happy with how it's turned out, though. Still needs a few tuning tweaks but nothing that I worry about on a daily basis.

Just seems like every option has some sort of tradeoff. Replace the speakers and the navigation no longer comes out the center, replace the head unit and teh speakers still suck. Replace the whole thing... "I thought I bought 'Premium' audio"... LOL Probably the way I'm going to go though. Like the look of the floating big ass tablet style stereos and then the dual 10" tech12volt setup.

Oh there are trade offs, for sure. But I bought my truck knowing that the stereo was getting replaced ASAP. Entune has always been a pile of hot garbage, though I’d probably try to make the stock HU work in the newer models with CarPlay/Android Auto.

My wife surprised me with a Westcott TRD Pro lift kit for Father’s Day! I felt really bad telling her that I have the Bilstein setup and not the Fox though…
    34D49AD2-73B9-4D11-B20A-992BC519E711.jpg

I’m guessing I should be able to call them or stop by their shop and swap out the collars. She also bought the full kit and I only need the front, so I need to see if that can be returned or if I’ll be posting that portion up for sale. Either way, I’m excited for an upgrade on the front lift.

You can probably swap out the collars with him. Jeff added the collars to my Bilstein pros no complaints on them.

I’ve been eyeing the Bilstein collars for a while. So I guess my wife was at least partially paying attention lol. I’m calling them in a little bit to see how they want to do this.

You can even add the coachbuilder shims at the same time you install for a tad more lift. I'm running 2 shims per side along with the Westcott collar and zero issues.

The Fox kit comes with top plate shims, so I'm interested to see if the Bilstein kit has the same. Sounds like it doesn't from what you had installed, though? I already have CB shims, so it's not a big deal to me either way.

Ok, got it. Yeah, I already had the trd pro shocks on the truck and took it to Jeff to get the magnuson installed. Since it was there I asked him to install the coachbuilder shims I had that I never got around to installing. He then suggested installing his collar as well. So I only purchased the collar from him and not a full kit.

I've got an appointment at the Westcott shop next Weds morning, just going to have them do the install. Wasn't a problem to have them swap the kits or anything, but they're probably more than happy to do what they can for an upsell of install labor and alignment lol. I'm kinda bummed that this will be the first non-DIY upgrade for my truck...

MGM doesn’t do well with chrome IMO, so color matching was a pretty high priority for me. And I’m really happy with the look of the latest Pro grille, it just sucks that the OEM radar garnish is so expensive. You can get away with the eBay knockoff one, though, and I may or may not have found one that works with the radar too…

Yeah I agree about chrome on the MGM. I have a 2015 so no radar stuff for me to deal with.

New collar and shims installed on the TRD Pro Bilsteins - has the truck sitting level/half inch of rake left in the rear. Love the way this turned out.

And here's the alignment specs, for anyone that's into that kind of thing. The truck seems to drive great, so no complaints there.

Looking good! Let's go to Sycamore Creek to test out the new suspension bits!

What do they mean by "steering wheel was not level before alignment"? Your steering wheel wasn't straight and pulled to the left?

:notsure: I never noticed any issues, but maybe it did have a slight pull prior to the alightment. Maybe that big ass rock I hit the other night had something to do with it... It runs straight now, so that's all I care about lol.

Finally got around to adding the front rail now that Home Depot had some more unistrut in stock. Now to plan out my jack mount and a couple other things I’d like to have before T2S in October…

I spend a lot of time doing stupid things that I’ll never use. My wife rolls her eyes any time I’m in the garage working on the next thing. I probably need a different hobby, but this is still cheaper than golf.

I took apart my front bumper this morning to adjust the aim of my light bar, and took a few pics along the way that might be helpful to others wanting to install a bar using a similar setup.

Started at the top, removing the grille - first, disconnect the TSS harness (2018+):
    IMG_2246.jpg

Next, remove the 4 10mm lags and 2 clips:
    IMG_2247.jpg
    IMG_2248.jpg

Pull the top of the grille up and over the nylon inserts at the top, then carefully pull outward at the bottom corners and the grille assembly should pop loose:
    IMG_2249.jpg

Now you'll remove the two clips at the front of the headlight/fender garnish pieces and then pull out and away from the back side of the panels to unclip them from the rear:
    IMG_2250.jpg

Remove the 2 10mm lags and 1 push clip from each side of the bumper splash guards:
    IMG_2251.jpg

Next, remove the 2 10mm lags and 2 12mm bolts from the bottom of the bumper caps (ignore the hack job on the bottom of the splash guard plastic):
    IMG_2252.jpg

Now you'll remove the 3 10mm bolts connecting the valence to the skid plate:
    IMG_2254.jpg

Finally, remove the 2 12mm bolts on top of each bumper cap and the bumper (cap and valence assembly) will be free:
    IMG_2253.jpg

Now you'll have a pile of expensive parts and a clean shot at the crash bar:

If you're adding the bumper light bar brackets, this is where they'll attach:

Forgot to add the after pics of what I was actually trying to accomplish yesterday - after I removed the Coachbuilder bumper shims (new lift up front gave me plenty of clearance along with moving the bumper plastics) I shimmed the light bar brackets forward about a half an inch with washers. I think it should help with the light output, along with having the bar aimed a little better.
