Third time’s the charm getting everything aligned with the new control arms. The first shop I used tried twice: first time ended up with the steering wheel clocked to the left and a good pull to the right. Second drove straight but they took out ALL the caster from the control arms and I was now rubbing the cab mount at 3/4 lock.

Took it to another shop that seems to do a little better with off road setups (although the first might be fine now that I know what numbers I want) and now we’re dialed in.

Knocked out a couple quick ones today - first was adding a rocker switch to the brake light interrupt signal for my whip module. I thought this might be useful if I’m doing some low speed whippin’ and don’t want the red light flashing over and over. Didn’t take pics of the wiring, but I can if anyone requests it.
    A383A29C-159D-4DF1-BAF5-772EEE1E2FD2.jpg

Then I threw in some VLED footwell lights. These things are sweet. It’ll be nice to have the low-level ambient lighting at night, and the LEDs are much better than the cheap light ribbons I had before.

Are you saying you grew tired of my red whip on Mt Lemmon?
I was thinking of doing the same thing, but it’s also a nice signal for others behind you if caution needs to be heeded

Didn’t get tired of it at all. I think it’s great for off road use. But if I’m chauffeuring for Christmas light events… I don’t think others would be impressed.

Every vessel needs a proper flag for its mast. That came over the weekend, courtesy of BezosMart

My DT mounting clips also got here this weekend, so got those connections tidied up a bit.

Had to do an expensive mod with little bling factor this weekend… X2 AGM is in place. That thing is freakin heavy. And now I’ll be researching better hold down solutions. I need a better bracket for sure, but the tray and j rods could use some reworking as well. GM diode should be delivered by Amazon today to get that part up to snuff.

Diode showed up and was an easy install - just had to cut the tab off one side to match the other, install it in place of the 5A ALT-S fuse, then flip it from all the instructions I found online lol. Not sure if the 2018 fuse box is laid out that much differently but this isn’t the first time polarity has been revered from older models. Running right around 13.9V now

Finished up my onboard air mod with my Viair 400p. I picked up the mount from Bannock Built. That thing is a bitch to install but it’s nice and solid once in. I drilled 3 new holes for the Viair brackets, and rotated the brackets on the pump itself 90°. The air coupler was stolen off my Viair hose and I put a male fitting on that to standardize the fittings a bit more like a normal air compressor. Power is supplied by my SP9100 for now, but may just get hard wired since the switch is on the side of the body.

Guess I'll jam one in, too. Ordered

Kinda enjoyed pulling out the NoCo every few weeks for a top-up.
Closest thing I'll ever get to a block heater. May or may not pretend it's a 5.9 12v with the p-pump.

I have an interesting imagination

Holy Amazon Prime next day service! I literally ordered the diode after Jake posted the link & just got it. I had the 50.00 one from Holland or wherever & only got 13.6.

So is there a point where the alternator puts out too much voltage? Or any concerns around frying the alternator from this?
