Thank you very much! I'm debating on switching to the Sequoia TRD Pro Grill but the price along with paint makes me hesitant. I've been working on a lot of other things that take priority over appearances anyway.

bfd fn .jpg My new wheels showed up today: FN Wheels BFD in Matte Bronze [18x9, 5x150]

Super stoked on these wheels! Dustin provided great customer service and asked what I had planned, was very knowledgeable and gave some great advice, and ultimately hooked me up with a sweet deal including free shipping and black locking lug nuts. IMO these are the best quality/nicest looking wheels available for our trucks considering weight savings, build quality, and price. Comparable Volk TE37s are more than 2x the price. Here's the look that inspired me when I first saw TE37s on a tundra (yes I want to also add the fender flares).

    te37.3.jpg

Per his advice I'll be waiting until spring time arrives since I'll need different tires, 255/70/18 are took skinny and diont wanna run into any issues. Plus once the lift, 35's, etc are all installed the truck won't fit in the garage anymore.

I've also been designing the rear bed platform/storage system starting with many measurements and graph paper then finally moving on to Sketchup. I'm planning on using 80/20, incorporating my fridge/freezer in the cubby space on the back right side pictured below. Not the finished product but getting there.

I also ordered and received my Setpower RV45 47qt fridge, got it on sale for $300!

Installed my new Hooke Road Rear Bumper. I was happy with my ebay front bumper and this one made by Hooke seems to be actually better quality in terms of welds and materials. Easy to install did it by myself and it’s only +85 lbs with all three pieces together, hardware, and accessories. The instructions were very clear and there’s also a lot of adjustability in the mounts but solid at the same time. I also spliced the reverse lights into my factory reverse lights. Still figuring out how I’m gonna remount the tow wire harness.

Alright, it's been awhile, so I apologize if my memory is a bit fuzzy. I've got a 2008 with the same trailer plugs as yours. The later 2nd gens have this style which seems like it would plug right into the Hooke bumper:

It was a pain trying to find the part number for this since it wasn't showing up on a lot of diagrams. It doesn't help that the name of this is literally "Wire Frame". I don't know why. Maybe somebody smarter than me can explain that.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the part number is: 82169-0C080

I remember crawling under my truck one night and for some reason I thought the connector plug was different on my 2008 versus what is in the picture above, but I think I'm all wet about that one after I looked back at some stuff. I have a picture on my phone of the tag that is on my 2008 "wire frame" and it is 82169-0C040. Google spits out this as being the connector which does look like the same as the newer version. Maybe you can crawl under and confirm that the plugs are the same:

So assuming that the plugs are the same, I guess swapping the trailer plug styles is pretty trivial. Unfortunately, the newer trailer plug is around $200 which is why I think I dropped the idea at the time.

Haven't looked any further into the trailer harness yet, but I did get my painted mirror covers installed.

Next week I'm getting my Sequoia TRD PRO grill painted along w/ some oem style fender flares I found on ebay. I've grown bored w/ the EAG grill and can't get over how good the Sequoia grill looks especially w/ these headlights. Only paint thing I'd like to do next is matching the door handles.

Thank you I'm very happy I went for the pro grill even though it was a bit costly, it matches my winch bumper/headlights better and made the truck look like a 2020. Worth every penny!

What color is the TVD vinyl? Is it a close match to pyrite?

It’s quicksand, so not a match but it accents nicely with my tri color badge, quicksand ajt design climate knobs and key fob, and I also have some tan actiontrax that I’ll mount eventually. (Waiting on Sherpa Equipment Co. to release their roof rack)

Awesome! My truck is the Pyrite Mica color as well. I may "steal" the ideas for the bumpers and grille. Do you have a link to the grille you purchased?

As far as a link, there's more than just one part that you'll need so I suggest you start here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/2020-sequoia-trd-pro-grill-conversion.55533/

Got the grill ordered this evening and will be calling the collision place in town to see how much they will charge to color match it. On your bumpers; I live in a state that requires a front license plate. Does the front bumper allow for a front license plate mount? For the rear, is it possible to replace the factory plug and relocate it on the bumper? My rear bumper was dented by the original owner and I could also really use the step up when getting in and out of the bed.

Nice! FYI my paint guy charged ~$150 for the grill if that helps.

The front bumper does have license plate mounting directly above the winch, you can see on mine I put some bumper buffers that came w/ my superbumper receiver hitch step.

As far as the rear bumper, when you say plug are you referring to the trailer wiring plugs? If so, I’m thinking its possible but haven’t done it myself. Checkout post #43 of this thread for more info.

Nice Truck! How are your bumpers holding up? Is the front strong enough for winching? On the rear, did you put the trailer plug by the license plate?

Thank you, I haven't had to winch for any reason yet but I will keep the thread updated when I do. The bumpers are holding up nicely overall, gonna mod the front some to get more gap and change the fog lights. On the rear I haven't done the trailer plug yet.
