Yes it is. Its timed to turn off 10 seconds after entry. A nice Toy OEM feature.

***Edit: After timing the delayed ignition ring automatic light, it stays on for 4.5 seconds after entry. Date 1/1/2020.

The final pics of the LED door puddle lights mod. Pretty stoked on this one. So cheap and easy. About $20 in materials.

This is such great motivation. I really need to get on this and update my interior lights. All the lights behind my climate control knobs are out.

    Good work, PHM!

    How did you degrease them?
Also how did you replace all the bulbs in your dash with leds? I got all but that one tiny one buy the top passenger side of the speedo.

Republic of St. Barts. Its a state of mind.

Specifically, I reside on the Southern Coast along side and in direct harmony with the Spyder Monkeys.

Sometimes I do meditations down in the Brasilian Rain Forest.

Thank you. Its easy. Two screws behind vents and three screws behind climate knobs. Pinch and pull panel out. I used the local auto store Sylvania LL Bulbs (incandescents).

Used degreaser on a sponge and rag. Just a little. Scrub it real good depending on the grime level. Let dry and soak the belt on both sides with PB Silicone with Teflon. Once it drys is when the magic happens. Follow up again for extra measure a week later. The pop and snap will be like new again.

That bulb is a Partsham which I posted a pic for you on that other thread.

If you out the clues together you may be able to figure it out. I'm pretty sure I know the general locale, but nothing too specific at this time.

I skipped the degrease part and just did silicone spray on my 1997 T-100. Both sides of the belt. After it dry-dries 1.5 days later (it's been cold here) I can attest: HOLY CRAP. SNAAAAAAAAPola.

    Crackle and POP!!!

You seriously gotta watch out for the belt inflicting harm because it becomes so fast in retraction.

Glad it works for ya. A cheap fix!

Well I wasn't looking to get specific.. Just envious of the nice weather and probably lack of road salt and calcium chloride... But I do respect his and everyone's privacy. Hope you all had a good holiday!

Is there a bit of difference of the beam pattern of the Dr side or just an optical illusion. I have seen others that show beam scatter varies from bulb to bulb. Aledged the specs on HB2 are more strict.

That one angled picture up at 3’ is an optical illusion. The straight on shot from about 23’ looking at garage door is the more realistic in person beam pattern. There is some very light scatter which the picture magnifies greater than it really is in pic up at 3’ from door, but I don’t notice it when driving. This set up works great for me. Way better than the OEM set up. Bright and clean light, but not blinding. Never been flashed by others.

Easy plug and play. Inexpensive and way better than incandescent light bulbs. No resistors needed in headlamps or with the PerfectFit fogs LED’s. Both have been holding well for about a year now with no problems.

This lighting topic is sensitive with people so all I can say is try the $37 Katanas and if you don’t like them then go the next step with $$$ projectors, fab work, etc.

    Hope this helps.

Edit: I have aimed the drivers side assy slightly down a bit and the pass side assy slightly more leveled (but still down) and outward. This is for obvious reasons.

Still amazed everytime I see your truck! Is your rear just stock with billies and a sway bar? No coil spring or anything?

Thank you. She has come a long way since last year with all the restoration work.

Those are the original springs/rear leafs from 2002. They’ve splayed and I’ve brought them back as straight as possible and put some make shift ‘leaf keepers’ on them to keep inline. The silencer pads have worn and fallen off. After years of tow/haul, they still keep that frontal squat look which I like. Reminds me of a Panther ready to pounce!

Been hanging with Sensei for about a week deciding on proper handling of bearing ‘re-repair’. Sensei beatings sharpened me up.

Dropped the 2002 Tundra off at stealership for her 8am appt. this morning for proper bearing service on the rear drivers side. Recall that I had prior failed service done a few months ago at another shop and was refunded $ plus new high dolla MK Kashiyama brake pads to replace the soaked ones (still to be installed).

Stealer calls about 2 hours after she is opened up this morning and says we have a mess. They sent pics (below).

I call failed service shop (still haven’t cashed their refund check BTW) and sought a solution. Met some ‘resist!’ from owner. Used some ‘Himalayan Mind Jujitsu Technique’ on the owner. Took him about 10 minutes to un-twist out of the pretzel I put him into, but he finally succumbed to buying a new axle (old one was clearly destroyed) and new bearing kit for stealership to install (both to be delivered tomorrow).

Hack job to say the least. I swear I can do better work than most mechanics these days. Takes me a bit longer (no lift), but my stuff lasts and is fixed right the first time!

Glad I didn’t try to open this mess up in my driveway to correct it and made a good call by taking it to stealer. Should have trusted my instincts and went there in the first place.

Check out these crap work pics! So much wrong here.

Stealership installed new axle in place of hacked axle along with new bearing kit 1/17/2020. Will update in a few weeks on finality of repair after inspection when installing the MK Kashiyama new rear brake shoes.

Some installed parts/prices/etc for review which are all holding nicely a year/two years later.

Here is the Grille I used. Price is still holding steady from last year. They have chrome which another member here has looks pretty cool. Wish they had a brushed Aluminum option which would look real nice. I think they run a BBQ grill business and make these on the side?

Great coil packs if you guys ever need them. They are OEM Denso and half the cost of Toyota labeled Denso re-brands($$$). I replaced all 8 (preventative maintenance) as I had one go bad and 3 other develop cracks.

Was that Denso part number the same as your oem coils? I just looked, or tried to w a mirror, and mine read 90030-19027. I wasn’t sure if there would be a difference in coils since mine is an 06. I guess I’ll check an online toyota parts diagram and see if they are the same or not from year to year
