Looks like in the first round of the playoffs I'll be cheering for:
Florida
Tampa
Carolina
NYR
Colorado
St Louis
Calgary
Edmonton

 

Rooting Rangers, hoping for a different outcome than the last 2+ decades.

 

What's with not wanting Calgary and Edmonton to play in the second round? I'm not a Flames fan either but it would be so satisfying just to have that series.

 

You convinced me; I changed it. I hate Dallas too so that one was a toss up.

 

The Leafs will be playing at least 5 games this post season . lol

I can't decide about the Florida State series; it's pretty much a toss up for me.

 

Calgary is going through! Woohoo!

Calgary-Edmonton series? Oh, hell ya! It'll be that much sweeter knowing it's raining like hell and the leafs can't even golf right now.

 

They can’t count that high for strokes !

 

They don't have to count high, they've got to be so good at golfing now they gotta be in the 60's every round.

Not sure. The AVS make me nervous. Their net minders are suspect.

I think the AVS prevail because of their 3rd and 4th lines. They are getting good production out of them. If they can somewhat contain the Oilers first line it will be the AVS in 6.

 

I'm putting it on Mike Smith. I can easily see him stealing the show in 1 or 2 games, then it comes down to if he can be competent enough to get to 4 wins. if he has 3 duds (2 more from here) then the Oilers have no chance. It's crazy to think the goalie who does best at keeping it to 3 goals or less can win the series

 

I'm crossing my fingers that Smith continues his trend of getting mad when he gets pulled and playing lights out in at least the next game.

If the Oilers play that kind of D the Avs snipers will make him pay no matter how good he plays. Of course, the same can be said for the Oilers snipers. Man, I cannot stand Kane. Such a POS

That was painful to type as a Calgary fan but they're the only Canadian team left. Although I draw the line at the leafs. I cheer for Calgary, then whatever Canadian team ex-leafs, then whoever plays against the leafs - in that order. Although I usually get to laugh at the leafs fans as they exit round one (when they make it that far) which is how it should be.
