    Yeah, quite embarrassing witnessing someone getting honored for their philanthropic and community endeavours getting a reception like that. While it's not a sentiment I agree with it kinda reflects something I heard the other day that sport is theater for the stupid.

    I didn't come up with nor agree with the quote, but it's easy to see why non-sports fans could think that way when seeing the way Prescott was booed. Falling in with the mob mentality is hardly the greatest way of demonstrating one's intellectual capabilities.

    As a rule I'd have to say that overall the behavior of US football fans is far more preferable than the thuggish shenanigans that occur at soccer matches.
