I made $40 yesterday. I almost lost it as we can’t seem to figure out how to use one of our highest paid QB in the league

Look, as a lifelong 49ers fan, I'm not gonna say Jimmy G sucks, but he just signed a marketing contract with Hoover for the rest of the 2022 season.

I’m starting to believe Seattle was happy to unload Wilson. He looks washed.

It appears the tides are turning on how this trade looks. Unfortunately the Broncos still found a way to win with 9 points scored by the offense. The Seahawks need those remaining Bronco draft picks to be as high as possible for this rebuild. Even Geno’s passer rating is much higher than Wilson’s. :boink:

Might be the first time I have ever rooted for the 49ers. Since they were trying to get rid of Jimmy GQ he was shut out of the 49ers system up until they reworked his contract. Definitely didn’t help him hit the ground running, but not an excuse for running out of the end zone.

Yeah, but if he hadn't caused that safety, it would have been a pick 6, easily. But you know,...

    that's just jimmy! :crapstorm:

He just doesn't improve his gameplay. Always throwing garbage and hoping it lands.

QB's that run predominantly to gain yards or create passing lanes don't last long in the NFL, or it's very rare. Look at Cam Newton. Even Mahomes can't get away from defenders like he used to.

QB's with legs have a lifespan of a RB. At some point their legs aren't going to be as fresh as the young bucks from the draft, thus won't be able to make the same plays. If they can't throw either, they're done. A la Cam Newton.

Like I said before, the Donks got fleeced.

    ;)

Well, it’s early. I’m venting on Russ because I expect more. But, I believe he will absolutely deliver solid QB play. I know you have to think positive but Geno stinks. He will be Geno at the end of the year. NO GAMER in him at all.
Now Seattle will more than likely chase its tail for years looking for the next franchise QB and that is so hard to watch. Trust me, I’ve been watching it for 6 years. You’ll get a high draft pick. Probably top 5 from watching Seattle. They just need to hit on their man. If they do, the trade will be a major success. It will be fun to break this one down in the upcoming years.

I’d put Russ in the running category of Steve Young or Aaron Rodgers when it comes to using his legs. Not a Lamar type.

And you lost credibility with anything you said once you lumped Mahommes into your point.

There are running QBS (the type you explain and that I agree with you on) and there are QBs that can evade and use their legs when needed. Russ is in that camp.
Cam Newton was never a great passer of the ball and relied heavily on designed run plays.

Justin Herbert sure likes to take off and use his legs when he needs to. Hopefully he doesn’t flame out early.

You mentioned Russ in the same breath as Rodgers and Favre and I lost credibility?!

Yes, you did. If you take mine into context it was that he looks to pass and uses his legs when things break down. Not designed runs like Vick, Kyler Murray and Lamar. They are true running QBs.

You brought up Mahommes as if he was a running type QB that can’t get away with it anymore. If that’s what you think, flip the channel and turn on Soccer. It may make more sense to you.

Steve Young had numbers very close to where Russ is in regards to running. Was he regarded as a run first QB?

    LOL!

My point about Mahomes was that he's not the same, although still at a high level. Teams have film and can game plan against him. He's still elite at his position but not bedazzling (as often) like he was when he took the reigns.

Regarding QB's using legs when plays break down and Steve Young, this doesn't translate with age. Young ended his career on concussion protocol, he probably was a driver in the NFL implementing it. Russ might end his career in and out of concussion protocol with that style of play.

Regarding credibility, in this thread you seem to devalue the picks traded for Russ. Then value draft picks them in another post. What side of the draft pick value are you on?

Anyways, carry-on watching the Donks, while waiting for Russ to turn back the clock. They got the W last week (not due to Russ' play) but it was a tale of "who sucks the least!"

OK. Let’s be friends. Let’s turn our attention to a couple things.
Why was my comparison of Favre and Rodgers so inappropriate?
Did they deliver some Super Bowls I’m unaware of? Will their numbers be so much better than Wilson’s when it’s all said and done? Won’t they all be in the HOF at the end of the day?

Also, what’s up with the Chargers?

Yea, let's get away from this line of posting.

The Bolts don't have a run game IMO. Now they're bitten by the injury bug so the depth and coaching is about to be tested. Beating the Raiders was glorious. Now they are 0-3

    It's a long season though....

LMAO! I don't remember if it was him, but during the 49ers/Broncos game Wilson threw it, and the receiver basically looked like he was doing the C part of the YMCA dance. The ball just went right through the opening.
