Not a Seahawks or Broncos fan, but happy for Wilson to end up in a decent situation with a solid team around him. He seems like a good dude and Seattle was doing him wrong.
Sounds like Rogers is going to be getting a 4 year 200 million dollar contract to stay in GB.....hopefully they have money to re-sign Adams after that

According to sources, he's reportedly gonna be tagged , if it hasn't happened already.

Edit: Looks like it's a done deal. But yeah, hopefully he still gets re-signed somehow.

I remember. We cried (or I cried lol) over another heart-breaker. <sigh>

Green Bay over paid for Rogers. 50 million is way too much. It handicaps the rest of the team because of salary cap space.

I would imagine that was taken into account and some money will be deferred. Wilson is good but the Broncos gave up Fant and Shelby, 2 1st round and 2 2nd round picks. (Oh, and Drew Lock. LOL, bet Seahawk fans like that a lot.)

Wow, didnt realize they gave up so much. I guess they think with him they are a contender now and down the road they may be hurting a bit.

Of course. And it makes it even harder to disagree with the flack he gets that it's about the money. But I reluctantly take it. At the very least, if it'll keep GB dominating the division for a few more years, and piss off Vikings fans in the process, then no complaints for me. :eek2: :p

Just like what happened in KC with Mahomes although he restructured a bit to sign a few offensive lineman last year, but still that team isn't going to be around too much longer with that much money catching up to them eventually. Also I think just recently they said the exact amount for Rogers is still up in the air according to him.

Ha! Rodgers still plays at a MVP level which doesn't hurt. Love him or hate him.....there isn't a NFL team that wouldn't want him as their starting QB...

The GB accountant bean counters surely structured whatever AR gets so the cap won't be affected too much.

I haven't followed the NFL much at all the past season. What triggered Wilson to want to leave the Seahawks?

I'd bet that P Manning made a phone call to Wilson. Broncos are up for sale and rumors are that PM is part of a group of well heeled investors that are going to make a bid...

He felt like he wasn't get the team around him that he needed to be at his best. Mainly an offensive line. For some reason they didn't want to invest much money into an O-line or drafting any decent O-line men. The last 2-3 seasons Wilson has been under pressure quite a bit and still played decent considering he was scrambling on most of his drop backs.

The Bronco's will need to beef up their O line and GB too. GB's O line sucks. Badly

I think I heard this morning that his new contract lowers his cap impact. And that $153M is guaranteed.

That checks with the few games I watched. The o-line seemed to crumble with disturbing regularity. Denver could be a good fit if their o-line is strong.

Makes total sense. They wouldn't do such a deal if it hurt the team making the playoffs and beyond just to keep him from going somewhere else.

There are rumors that Von Miller "might" want to return to Denver although he's obviously happy with the SB hardware with LA.....yeah....that LA

Funny that QB’s always want to be the highest paid yet complain when they can’t build a team around them.
Not many times the highest paid QB will win the Super Bowl.

#1...QB's don't build the team around them.
    #2...A great GM does.
#3...Many QB's aren't the highest paid on the team.
#4...Franchise players usually make the most. Not always QB's.
#5...I want more money too. I'm worth it.

That's why TB 12 was never the highest paid QB, all he cared about was winning. Plus his wife makes plenty, so that helps....

Took a pay cut, too, right around the time most QBs are waning in their career, and still he won a few more SBs afterward.

How was Seattle “doing him wrong”? When they “let Russ cook” he started turning the ball over.

I think they stole him. The three players leaving are mid caliber talent at best.
The draft picks are no big deal. How many first round players don’t work out?
The Broncos still have three picks in the top 100 this year.
Bottom line, if you don’t have a TOP caliber QB you are probably not going to far. George Paton is doing an outstanding job.
