Yep. @NueveTundra isn't wrong, but if I'm visualizing his bumper correctly, that setup was a few thousand to purchase for the 2.5.

All so you could have a safe spot to hook up to in the front on your "off road" package or trim truck....

I remember when BMW stopped giving you a spare, replacing it with a can of fix a flat...

That's the mentality I'm worried about.

Do you need two hooks if you have a winch?

Instead of all this what we should be doing is designing some dang tow hooks for the 2022. Make some money up in here!

The sheer fact that Toyota is gong to offer tow hooks as an accessory shows that they know exactly what they are doing. For those that want tow hooks, they turned it into a profit center. Has nothing to do with aerodynamics. It was a pure business move.

One big one right in the center would be cool.

That and the $8 a month subscription service you need to pay to remote start the truck.

I see a third gen and won't even try. Not going to take the liability risk.

I have to admit the payload conundrum is baffling. Tow hook rants are funny. If I take off my lil Fronty's tow hooks my payload hits 1300. I don't ever expect to put a 1000lbs in the 5' bed. Decisions......

When are they going to start heating the tailgate so our asses don’t get cold when we’re strumming and singing? Asking for a friend’s ass.

I did use my 09 Taco's tow hooks once. Pulled a lady out that got stuck in a parking lot in Anchorage. Never used the tow hooks on my 07 and 14 Tundra. Nice to have though but certainly not a deal breaker.
