I used my tow hooks once to pull a big ass bush out of the ground by my driveway. Felt kinda cool. What if I never feel cool again?

Wait, that was back when I had an F-150. Dangit.

The general 3rd gen thread wasn't really staying general. It was primarily comprised of people arguing over towhooks. I provided a thread for peole to do that arguing here. I genuinely don't care what your opinion on tow hooks is.

There was no sarcasm at all btw, just a bit of creative humorous writing. If it doesn't amuse you, I don't care about that either.

Feel free to post wherever you want. Fuck it. Let's merge the payload thread into the General thread. @ColoradoTJ, can you make that happen? Apparently having separate threads hurts @1UP 's feelings.

This is a lot coming at me at once. I can barely drive my Pro knowing there's no transmission cooler. Taking my tow hooks is just a step too far.

Most folks dont have wrecks very often either, or at all. Does that mean we should delete the seat belts also?

Please remove all smugness and sarcasm. It can replaced with incessant butt hurtness, and shouting from the rooftops about how you’ve waited a decade for this and now you’re let down.

Can we add in “my 20– gets better mileage than a 3rd Gen?”

Maybe you'd feel better if we just renamed the third gen thread to "tow hook arguing" so you could continue bitching about it and saying the same thing over and over again there instead of here?

Certainly. There’s no work around for a flat. If I get stuck, I can get out with a combination of 1) shovel 2) traction boards and 3) chains. There is not likely to be anyone around to attach a tow strap to a recovery hook anyway. That’s life.

A 2020 Titan Pro4x with every option and 8,900 miles for 43k. Came from a long line of Toyota/Lexus products but couldn't beat the price, warranty, comfort, and overall package of the Titan after driving every mid and full size truck on the market. Toyota should have just put a 10spd behind the 5.7l. My 5.6/9spd Titan with factory 33s pulled a measured 20mpg from CO to Houston, TX which is on par with what this new Tundra seems to get.

See, I think we have a misunderstanding. You seem to think I have opinion on tow hooks one way or the other hence why you think I'm a smug smart ass. I don't have them now, and I find work arounds. I've had them in the past and used them. It's a 6 or half a dozen debate for me.

    Fabulous. :fistbump:

Without a spare I'm kinda hooped. If I'm stuck and have tow hooks, I can use them. If I don't have them, I can still figure something out.

I'd also like to state that this is my favorite thread of the month. Carry on folks. :hattip:
